:star: We've all had a dose of celebrity gossip by now and we know that rumors run ramped in Hollywood. Since the death of Marilyn Monroe in 1962 a lot of rumors have been circulating and have even been published by people who Marilyn didn't even know! But these rumors have been put to rest over time by the people closest to Marilyn.

I guess most sex tapes eventually see the light of day, even if it is a million years later. A video featuring Marilyn Monroe giving oral to an unidentified dude was just sold to a New York businessman for $1.5 million. And I thought the $30 a month membership fees for porn sites was expensive.

Hey I'm new to this group and if this is a repost I'm sorry, just tell me if it is I'll just delete it.
This is an edited version of Last Talk With a Lonely Girl: Marilyn Monroe by Richard Meryman, first published in Life magazine, August 17 1962
Ever since she was fired from Something's Got to Give, Marilyn Monroe has kept an almost disdainful silence. As far as her troubles with 20th Century Fox were concerned, she simply said she had been too sick to work - not wilfully tardy and truant as the producer charged.

As far as her troubles with 20th Century Fox were concerned, she simply said she had been too sick to work - not wilfully tardy and truant as the producer charged. While 20th Century Fox and her lawyers were negotiating for her to resume work on the movie, Marilyn was thinking about broader aspects of her career - about the rewards and burdens of fame bestowed on her by fans who paid $200 million to see her films, about drives that impel her, and about echoes in her present life of her childhood in foster homes.

Cover of "Marilyn" a bio by Norman Mailer.
:star: The Biography I am reading is "Marilyn" by Norman Mailer, he is part author part chauvinist. Harsh conclusion, but I sincerely think that he would rather listen to himself write than get to any valid points of Marilyn's life.

In 1959 a young US Naval officer was a guest on the set of the Marilyn Monroe/Jack Lemmon/Tony Curtis movie Some Like It Hot after a visit from Monroe to his San Diego Naval base. While on the set he took a short amount of 8mm film footage of the sex symbol, that also included a little bit of Curtis and director Billy Wilder. Forty-nine years later, the lucky military man had passed away, leaving that 2.5 minutes of film, in its original Kodak box, to his daughter, now living in Australia.

This curvy condo building in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada has been dubbed the Marilyn Monroe Tower in reference to her voluptuous figure.
The building is in a centralised location and close to all major highways.
It's more like living in a private club, as the building includes many luxeries.
