So a lot has happened since I first pondered whether or not I should jump the Chanel ship and give mineral makeup a whirl. A lot of it has to do with my ailing bank account (and angry husband), as well as a healthy curiosity, which can be expected of any BPJ!
After thoroughly enjoying the free sample kit, I decided to take the plunge and order some Everyday Minerals products- at $32 for the six product Personal Custom Kit (which, by the way, is still less expensive than Chanel concealer...

So after much discussion and consideration, I ordered a free sample kit from Everyday Minerals to see what this mineral makeup craze is really all about.
I received three different foundations (Olive Medium in original glo, Olive Medium in intensive, Golden Medium in original glo), one concealer (Multi-tasking) and one blush (Deep Wine). I ultimately decided on these by checking out the "Get This Look" page on the Web site and picking the products on the model with a similar skin tone to my own.

Hey everybody!
As many of you may know I am a true fan of loose shadows, pigments, mineral shadows, shimmer dusts, however you want to call them. The good thing about these is that they're extremely versatile, and you can go as light or as bright as your heart desires.

Hey guys - everyone on here has been so helpful and awesome anytime I've had a makeup question, so I decided to ask for y'alls opinions on mineral makeup.
Right now, I'm using Everyday Minerals (I previously used BE) and I notice that, while using MMU, I am SUPER oily. Like, Exxon-Valdez oily.

So, I still haven't converted to mineral makeup- just lazy and using up what I have at home in liquid foundation that I am already pretty happy using.
I did get this email from totalbeauty.com (I must have signed up for it somewhere).
I am including the link below because it has an interesting quiz to take as well as comparison of popular mineral makeup out there and what users thought when they compared them.

Hi all-
I thought this would be interesting for the many of you who swear by mineral makeup (vs. liquid foundation). Our fun, cheap e.l.f.

Remember months ago when I was asking about the fuss over mineral makeup?
Fast forward to the present... I'm using Everyday Minerals, alternating with my regular Chanel foundation.

Please, let's make sure this group never goes away, as I depend on it too much.... :)
I apologize if there's been a thread on this before, but I haven't seen anything in the recent months. So let me ask- what's the deal with mineral makeup?

Hi All,
I work in product development for a cosmetic company that produces products in the UK, France and Africa for Afro-Caribbean and Asian skin tones. I was wondering what is the best mineral makeup you have found for darker skin tones? Also, what is the best tinted moisturizer you have found to match your skin colour as well?
