Basically, when you buy music from iTunes, it comes with a copyright protection called DRM. These DRM-protected songs are locked so that they only work with Apple MP3 players. That means that if you bought a Microsoft Zune, you cannot use iTunes music.

Oh, how I hate tabbing back and forth from Firefox to iTunes. It just takes so much time! If you're a geek, you know our goal is to make things easier for ourselves, not to control + tab our life away.

Instead of visiting your friend's house to rip all of her CDs one by one, you can save yourself the trouble with Mojo — it's a download that gives you convenient access to your friends' iTunes libraries. Now, you can't download Mojo and just grab everyone's music willy-nilly — the friends need to be on your network at the same time, and they need to have downloaded Mojo as well.
After you've both downloaded Mojo, you get your friend's username and add each other.

I honestly will never get tired of new downloads, websites, and applications for digital music (especially free ones) because music is my constant companion to my all-day computer sessions and keeps me sane. Or somewhat sane.
Anyway, Songbeat is an application that lets you download or stream any previously played music from Seeqpod (and I assume, most other streaming-music hosting sites).

So I've used Napster, Kazaa and now I am using Limewire. Limewire is always coming up with ads and all tons of crap that just ISN'T what I wanted to download.
What music downloading/sharing program do you use?
