Nigella Lawson in a blue velvet gown You've got to love the woman who knows how to flaunt what she's got, although it was a close call to not completely spilling out of this Vivienne Westwood number. The poster girl for the Rubenesque figure, that has been hailed through history as the most beautiful before Twiggy and the 60's ideals of thin took over.
Va va voom, Nigella Lawson
Nigella attended an event for 'The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947 - 1957' at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London that was organised by Alexandra Shulman the editor of British Vogue.

This just tickled me something terrible, to be very english. I'm sure that all the American Sugarsters will have me by the neck when I say this but, I've never been able to stand Martha Stewart, not to say that she isn't a clever business woman with a very good brand and some ace chefs behind her. So when I read that my absolutely favourite Food Goddess Nigella Lawson had accused Martha Stewart of having a crush on her husband I couldn't help but feel a little childish glee.

Yum.
My mom just made me the most wonderful salad, full of crunch and flavor! It's based in roasted butternut squash, rocket leafs, nigella seeds and a marvelious yogurt dressing.

I just wanted to share this OUTSTANDING Chocolate Cake recipe I used to make my awesome Halloween Cake with!
I decorated it with a luxurious chocolate frosting all over, sprinkled with some coconut (dyed in 2 drops of food coloring), along with 2 "maizena" cookies dipped in the chocolate frosting for the cake as tomb stones with mini chocolate kisses aligned around the graves, sprinkled with crushed chocolate crackers as the dirt and a cone shaped chocolate glued by the icing on a chocolate frosted maria biscuit as a witches hat!
I swear, I don't think I've ever tasted a cake so chocolatey as this one, so creamy, so pure...!

I saw this and thought I'd died and gone to chocoholic's heaven! I'm sure everyone can get Reese's Peanut Butter Cups whenever they long for them. Then I thought, yes, but you could make mega sized of these...

Scientific illiteracy all the rage among the glitterati
By Steve Connor, Science editor
Saturday, 27 December 2008
When it comes to science, Barack Obama is no better than many of us. Today he joins the list of shame of those in public life who made scientifically unsupportable statements in 2008.
Closer to home, Nigella Lawson and Delia Smith faltered on the science of food, while Kate Moss, Oprah Winfrey and Demi Moore all get roastings for scientific illiteracy.

These spices can be combined in amounts to make specific spice mixtures used in everyday cooking. A very well known spice mixture is the Garam Masala. The word garam means hot, not "hot" as in spicy chili hot, but due to the fact that the spices blended in the mixture are said to increase the body temperature.
