I was out food shopping with a friend for Baby J and her boyfriend ;) Baby M. We saw many products labeled organic and natural and wondered what the real difference was. After some research on the USDA site Baby M's mom discovered the following and I thought I would pass it along.

LONDON (Reuters) – Organic food has no nutritional or health benefits over ordinary food, according to a major study published Wednesday.
Researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine said consumers were paying higher prices for organic food because of its perceived health benefits, creating a global organic market worth an estimated $48 billion in 2007.
A systematic review of 162 scientific papers published in the scientific literature over the last 50 years, however, found there was no significant difference.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, "meat contains higher levels of pesticides than any of the plant foods." Pesticides end up in the environment, then in the animal, and then in you.

Elizabeth Hurley has gone country.
Inspired by her life with husband Arun Nayar and son Damian, 6, on their bio-dynamic farm in the English countryside, the actress-model, 43, tells PEOPLE, she is "developing a line of products … with a view that they're not only going to be healthy, because they're organic, but I'm obsessed that women find alternatives to eat which are low in fat."
Hurley, a dedicated supporter of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, spoke to PEOPLE in New York Thursday before flipping a switch to light up Bloomingdale's in pink for the month of October – to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Non-Organic Organic Food
by Jim Hightower
When it comes to a healthy diet, I am not a purist. Too late for that because I grew up eating such culinary concoctions as toasted sandwiches constructed of Spam, white bread and that oddly orange, oddly spongy cheeselike stuff known as Velveeta.
As an adult, I even have been irresponsible enough to serve as a taster, judge and promoter of Spam creations that were served at a now-defunct annual event held in my town of Austin, Texas.

FitSugar recently posted "May The Food Be With You: Organic Food Meets Star Wars", which had a great Star Wars themed video about why you should choose organic fruit and vegetables over conventional ones.
If you can't afford to or choose not to buy all-organic (I know I can't afford to!) what do you do? How do you decide what to buy?

Your new neighbors invite you to a weekend cocktail party, but you’ve never told them about your commitment to organic living.
Your boss asks you to lunch with a top client, and he chooses a nearby steakhouse whose chef isn’t focused on organic food.
So, how do you deal with these common dining dilemmas?
