Paula Abdul’s taped Super Bowl performance
I was less than impressed (but not really surprised) by Paula Abdul’s pre-Superbowl performance yesterday. What really surprised me was how many people were annoyed and disappointed that she lip synched her new song, “Dance Like There‘s no Tomorrow.” I generally expect that if there’s any significant dancing, the singer probably isn’t really singing. The top five American Idol contestants had two songs each last night and since time was tight the judges were told to quickly comment to each singer after they all had a chance to perform their first song. 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980's
Lately, my husband and I have been watching VH1's take on the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1990's and enjoying reminiscing and being reminded of songs that we had forgotten (or just hadn't heard in a long time!)
And, of course, that got me thinking: Has VH1 put together a top 100 list for the 1980's? They certainly had and I've spent today perusing it and constantly going, "I forgot about that one!"
So, do you agree with the choices for the 100 Greatest Songs of the 1980's?
Matt Damon, Bourne Ultimatum Earn Four People's Choice Nods
Matt Damon's thriller The Bourne Ultimatum led the nominations for the 34th People's Choice Awards, organizers announced Thursday. The spy flick was nominated for favorite movie, favorite action movie and favorite "threequel" and earned Damon a favorite male action star nod. Multiple nominees included Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Transformers, which are both up against Bourne for favorite movie.Flashback, and does anybody remember MENUDO??????
