My mother is a reader of Woman's Day Magazine (whose recipes I usually love) and she passed on these 2 ingredient recipe cards to me. Sure, some of them are a little odd and I will probably never, ever attempt, but there were a few that immediately grabbed my attention and I can't wait to try out! (Pineapple with coconut sorbet...:DROOL:)

Key lime cupcake recipe-
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons grated key lime zest
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup key lime juice
Cream together the butter or margarine and 1 cup sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Separate the eggs.
Caramel Frosted Hummingbird Cake
I had dessert duty for a get together this weekend and I found this recipe from Better Homes and Gardens. It sounded strange using shredded sweet potatoes, but I thought it turned out great and was big hit. It is for a 3-layer cake, but I only had 2 9" round pans, so I made the two rounds and poured the extra batter into a loaf pan.Nat'l Cheesecake Day

It was Nat'l Cheesecake Day yesterday (which happens to be my FAVE dessert) so my boyfriend and I went out to eat at The Cheesecake Factory. He bought me my fave cheesecake with my fave pineapple upside down shot!
Review: Island Way Sorbets
Maybe its just the kid in me, but how cool are these sorbets? The sorbet is actually in a real fruit shell! Over the past week, Ive had a few of these and they are deliciously good.
