There's just no freakin' end to her hypocrisy:
"Sarah Palin crowed Friday over news that the Senate Finance Committee will leave end-of-life care out of its health care legislation.
"I join millions of Americans in expressing appreciation for the Senate Finance Committee's decision to remove the provision in the pending health care bill that authorizes end-of-life consultations (Section 1233 of HR 3200)," she wrote on her Facebook page. "It's gratifying that the voice of the people is getting through to Congress."

Ministers of Truth [Victor Davis Hanson]
True, the far Left, in the manner of the far Right's hatred of Bush's Iraq War and his support for Israel, has begun to murmur disappointment with Obama.
But it is quite astounding that the mainstream liberal media — NY Times, Washington Post, NPR, PBS, Time, Newsweek, etc. — has simply offered no substantive criticism of Obama's flips on renditions, military tribunals, wiretaps, intercepts, Iraq, or — given their past fury over the Bush deficits — the Obama plan to run up more red ink in a year than Bush did in eight.

Was I secretly hoping that Steve would pop out on the stage this morning? Yes. I guess in Phil's defense, those are some pretty big New Balance tennis shoes to fill.

It seems I’ve found an exact flip flop in this adaptation from its similar counterpart, The Devil Wears Prada.
The Book:
Although this book is written in the same vein as The Devil Wears Prada, this one actually makes me feel sympathetic for the narrator/victim. Unlike Prada, the job of a nanny is far from glamorous and there’s no free designer clothes involved either (even at Christmas the nanny receives a simple pair of earmuffs in lieu of the expensive handbags and bonus checks given to the rest of the “help”).

Original recipe from Meatless Mondays.
This is the kind of miracle dish that can convert anyone to tofu. The Jamaican "jerk" seasoning is sure-to-please.

I have had much success with this recipe! I had tried making peanut brittle the traditional way but was either too impatient or inexperienced to produce anything other than very dark candy with burned peanuts - yuck!
I may sound a little unconventional, but it works and it is fast…so fast in fact, I once made 15 batches on a continuous cycle of zapping and cleaning.

This chocolate-truffle-inspired tart shows just how decadent simplicity can be. Dulce de Leche is a South American delicacy, made by cooking condensed milk into caramel -- its growing popularity means you can buy it at most stores these days. It's the perfect complement to the rich chocolate -- and the addition of flaked sea salt gives the whole thing balance and chef-like flair.
