It's not that I was expecting a film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road to be happy sunshine — I just wasn't expecting it to seem so possible.
The apocalyptic tale takes place in a wasteland in the future after most humans are gone. It's desolate, the sky is a brownish-gray, and the land seems to be covered with ash.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
(Politically incorrect)
BARACK OBAMA:
The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!

From: His Princess: Love Letters from Your King
By: Sheri Rose Shepherd
Be careful to obey all the commands I give
you; show love to the Lord your God by
walking in His ways and clinging to Him.
Deuteronomy 11:22, NIV
There will always be two roads before you, My love. The popular road is easy, its bumps worn smooth by the wandering crowds.

My boyfriend and I are embarking on a 6 day road trip to watch our college football team play in a bowl game. We've been together for about 7 months now, and we've had a few riffs (being long distance, etc) so this trip is pretty important in deciding where this relationship goes next.
Any advice on how to make this road trip a relationship booster, (not killer)?

When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man
You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues
So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough
Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road
What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again
Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground

Tara Reid reportedly told organizers she would be attending last Tuesday night’s New Era “Capture the Flag” clothing launch, at Hollywood’s hot new Zune House and hosted by her pal Travis Barker (the tattooed ex-Blink 182 drummer was the inspiration behind the new skater-style line).
But Reid didn’t show because she’s shooting a pilot for a reality series centered on her efforts to turn over a new leaf and not party — sounds like one riveting watch.
According to an insider, Tara is taking the rumored role “very seriously,” which doesn’t quite explain why she spent all of last week hitting various parties and then Hale Bob designer Daniel Bohbot’s Summer of Love birthday bash on Wednesday.

Actor Ewan McGregor has revealed how much it touched him that his wife Eve learned to ride a motorcycle for his FOX Reality Channel show, Long Way Down.
The Star Wars star went on most of the motorcycle journey from the north of his native Scotland to the southern tip of Africa with his best friend, Charley Boorman, but he was stunned when his wife wanted to come along for the ride.
Ewan recalled: “She said to me when we were doing the preparation…‘I want to come, and I want to ride my own bike.’ And I said, ‘But Eve, you don’t ride a bike.’ And she said, ‘Well, I’m going to learn.’ And I was absolutely thrilled about it.

Air Jordan XII White Black
When you see the jordan shoes pictured above, you know it’s part of the Air Jordan legacy, but it’s probably one of the most overlooked models in the vault. They don’t have a name like their regular season counterpart, the ‘Taxi’ and there’s no single moment of dominance they symbolize like the ‘Flu Game’, nor any controversy in their release like the also white ‘Rising Sun’. Despite the apparent lack of history, yours truly likes these best of all the Air Jordan XIIs (12).

Forget the supernatural: In Kristen Stewart's next project, the New Moon star is taking a deeply human turn, playing a troubled teenager in the indie flick The Yellow Handkerchief, due in theaters in February. Costarring William Hurt, Mario Bello and Eddie Redmayne, the movie explores the relationships between three strangers who embark on a road trip through post-Katrina Louisiana. Stewart plays Martine, a teen who hopes to escape her family, while Hurt plays Brett Hanson, a man who has to choose between his ex-wife (played by Bello) or what's next."The part of Kristen in Twilight is completely different from the one she plays in The Yellow Handkerchief, which is particularly interesting for Kristen's fans all over the world," says the film's Oscar winning producer Arthur Cohn.
