I was browsing through my favorite organic supermarket the other day. I was looking through the beauty section, smelling a bar of mango soap when I stopped and thought about how uneven my skin is. I'm not meaning blemishes, I'm talking tone.

Olive oil for many Westerners may be just simple cooking oil, but to the people of Greece it is much more than that. In the ancient Mediterranean civilisations, olive oil was inseparable from civilised life itself. Olive oil was not only an important food item but it was also burned in lamps to provide light, it could be used as a lubricant, and it was blended with essences to produce fragrant oils.

Advances to $1,000 on Dollar’s Weakness, Inflation Hedge
By Nicholas Larkin, Halia Pavliva and Kim Kyoungwha (Bllomberg.com)
Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Gold futures climbed to $1,000 an ounce for the first time in more than six months as a weaker dollar and concern that inflation may accelerate boosted the precious metal’s appeal.
The contract for December delivery touched exactly $1,000 on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, taking this year’s rise to 13 percent.

Today I thought I'd focus on roses. No idea why, really, but I've noticed that there are an abudance of beauty recipes out there that involve roses in one way or another, so I thought I'd compile them for you in one easy place!
After all, did you know that...

I was reading about the Ojon hair treatment mentioned on Beauty Product Junkies and a few things occurred to me: $55/5oz!!!!, 500 year old beauty secret of some tribe in Central America, it's a palm nut oil derivative, and $55/5oz?!?! So of course, cheapskate that I am, I have to do some research and see what makes this miraculous.
The igredients list is: Elaeis Oleifera (American Palm Oil), Parfume (Fragrance), Citronellol, Lecithin, Linalool, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric Acid, Prunus Africana (Prunus Africana Bark Extract), Serenda Serrulata (Serenoa Serrulata Extract)
So let's break it down:
Elaeis Oleifera (American Palm Oil) is the magic ingredient.
