Dear Diary,
For my birthday this year, my daughter (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me.
Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Belinda, who identified herself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.

Project codename wackdoodle - I think I'm the newest and squishiest Transformer.
However, I maybe the smartest Transformer cause I successfully got out of my expensive gym membership without paying any penalties. Go wack, it's your birthday (thank goodness it isn't - don't need to be 37 yet)!

As usual, Music Row is preparing to unleash a torrent of superstar albums over the next three months to fuel the holiday-shopping frenzy. Among the sparkling new offerings are Rascal Flatts' first greatest hits package, Brad Paisley's first instrumental CD, Alabama crooner Randy Owen's first solo outing and Lee Ann Womack's first studio album in three years.
This month has already seen the release of Jessica Simpson's country debut project, Do You Know (Epic/Columbia Nashville), which will debut at No.

Makes between 16 and 24 individual rolls
I ran out of cinnamon before making these rolls, so instead substituted dried ginger and cardamom, which I can highly recommend if you are making these rolls with peaches or pears. But, go lightly on the spice in this case… a little cardamom and ginger is a nice touch, a lot and you won’t taste anything else for the rest of the day.
1 medium russet potato
2 t active dry yeast
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 t salt
6 T unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
4 to 5 cups of all purpose flour
2-4 T of softened butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 T ground cinnamon
2 large peaches, pealed and sliced into wedges
Peel the potato and cut it into small pieces.

The mid-morning sun shone brightly through the thoroughly modern webbed-glass and white steel-beamed roof onto the shiny marble floors, freshly waxed and polished the prior night by dutiful cleaning crews. Rows of desks bedecked with the latest design in office lamps and LCD computers screens sat crisply among the signage and banners informing customers of the latest interest rates, saving bonds information and other banking products. Portraits of the financial institution’s founders, dating back over 100 years, sat high and mighty on the cherry-wood walls.

Except for the occasional song of birds and the gentle breezes wafting outside, a soothing quiet and calm and the usual hot L.A. sun greeted the morning. The cool white drapes that hovered over the floor-to-ceiling windows parted, giving way to an astounding view of the Los Angeles skyline from high up in the Hollywood Hills.
