The other day my super top secret chef friend made me dinner. It was amazingly delicious. For appetizers we had my favorite: salami, olives, and parmesan dip.

SAN FRANCISCO — Mayor Gavin Newsom is competitive about many things, garbage included. When the city found out a few weeks ago that it was keeping 70 percent of its disposable waste out of local landfills, he embraced the statistic the way other mayors embrace winning sports teams, improved test scores or declining crime rates.
The San Francisco Recycling Center processes about 750 tons of recyclables a day, and Mayor Gavin Newsom wants to add to that total.

Where do you look for information about San Francisco and the Bay Area? Does it matter if you live in San Francisco or are just visiting?

Well, I've officially had my first expirience with watching opera in a movie theater; and I have to say that it was quite enjoyable. Of course, nothing beats the live show, but it was nice to be able to relax, in comfy clothes and watch a great opera. It was also nice to the enjoy views and sound of the best seat in the house for a price that, at the actual Opera, would leave you sitting...somewhere on Market St.

Just a few weeks ago, I traveled to the San Francisco Bay Area (where I'd never been before!), for 4 days to experience the city on the hill.
My Faves (and where I resided):
SHOPPING: all of Union Square. A huge collection of boutiques and department stores, from H&M to BCBGMaxAzria.

It's one thing to say you'll try any sort of food, but another entirely to truly follow through on your promise. That's why, right before an eight-course gourmet bug tasting this week, I started bugging out over it. If I screamed when I saw insects in my apartment, how was I going to bring myself to eat them?

Reading about Advanced Style reminded me of another street style site I recently discovered that's geared towards a more youthful audience: http://thefashionphiles.onsugar.com. It posts pictures of stylish San Franciscan females and has inspired many of my recent outfits! The cool thing is that it updates every day so there's always something new to look forward to.
