So I figured with the growth of The Sartorialist group, I thought I send an e-mail to Mr. Scott Schuman today letting him know that there is a group dedicated to his work. Lo and behold he quickly replied back to me THE SAME DAY I wrote to him as well. I do believe this means now I am officially in a first name basis with Mr. Sartorialist, himself.

I have had an idea boiling in me for the past several weeks, and I'm finally putting it in action.
You know how much I love Scott's blog and his photos are worthy of being drooled at. I have always been inspired by the fashion sense of the women (and sometimes even the males) in his blog, and I do try my best (or at least what I have in my closet) to incorporate what they wear into my wardrobes.

Thanks to hvnly34 it's been brought to my attention that The Sartorialist Jr. has started in Cookies, a magazine for parents and children. I've been aware of this ever since Scott mentioned it in his blog earlier of this year, but I have not checked the magazine or its site recently so it's been out of my head. According to Scott, The Sartorialist Jr. is basically what he does in the original The Sartorialist blog but "with parents and kids in mind."

I was pretty busy lately, went skying with my friends for a couple of days :WOOHOO: Yeah I was so happy because last year I haven't had the chance to go to the mountains. This year not only that I went skying I've also spent New Years Eve there so :WOOHOO: again. OK sorry lets get back to the subject.

Considering that Scott does some work for the men's magazine, GQ, it's no surprise that he would be rubbing elbows with all the celebrity guests at the GQ's 50th anniversary party this month.
One of those celebrities Scott got to see is the self-proclaimed Louis Vuitton Don himself, Mr. Kanye West. Here is a photo of Kanye performing a private show at the party:
Guess what?

Besides posting beautiful, inspiring images of everyday people expressing their personalities through clothes, The Sartorialist also becomes a "How to" guide for those who are in need of fashion advices on how to wear certain clothing pieces.
Being a petite woman that I am, I particularly appreciated his April 4, 2007 post of a 5’1’’ female wearing a long, dramatic pleated coat with black flats:
Scott writes how many women her size will probably ignore a coat like this at a store because it would overwhelm their physique. He, however, advices petite sized females to wrap the belt tightly around the waste to create the “cummerbund effect” similar to what the young woman did in the photograph.

....INDIA!
Okay I admit I've never been to India, but it's one of the places I want to visit when I have saved enough money to just travel the world. I have such a fascination with India, from the food, the music, movies to the people who make up the estimated 1 billion population.

If anyone is from New York City or is planning to visit NYC anytime soon, may I recommend a stop at Danziger Projects to see Scott's lovely photos of street fashion. Scott has been given the great chance to showcase his photos in an art gallery. I hope he selects great photos that really defines what kind of photos his does, and how cool would it be too see his photos in life-size formats.

Be still my beating heart! Scott got to meet Ms. Cheung during the Lane Crawford party for the opening store in Beijing, China, and I'm truly jealous.

Let us just take a moment and stare at the photo:
One word: exquisite. I always thought that if isn't the outfit that makes the photo perfect it's the background. AND this is one of those photos.
