Serena's dress is by Vena Cava and Blair's (so Hamptons girly!) is by Alice + Olivia. I have to confess that I'm not a huge fan of this look on Serena.

Gossip Girl’s resident fashionistas might not have seen eye-to-eye about boys on last night’s episode (ahem, Carter Baizen), but Leighton Meester’s Blair Waldorf and Blake Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen did manage to agree on one thing — color! Leaving Vanessa Abrams’s boho fashion influences in the dust, Blair headed back uptown, happily slipping right back into her signature, sophisticated style with a canary yellow Diane von Furstenberg wrap top and a black-and-white Vince skirt. Even Serena got into the bright mood, mixing sapphire Zara sandals and a turquoise Treesje clutch with a navy Matthew Williamson dress.

Spotted: Serena's 'My Fair Lady' Inspired Dress!
Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were spotted on the Gossip Girl set last week wearing ensembles that referenced My Fair Lady with the girls channeling Eliza Dolittle, pre and post make-over.
The pre make-over costume that Leighton was wearing does not look like it ever made the runway, but Blake's post make-over look definitely did, as it was shown on the Spring 2008 runway for Ralph Lauren.
Blake's dress was modified from the runway version to have navy and white stripped bows on the collar, and skirt of the dress, plus a stripped sash was added around the waist, to make the dress as close to Audrey Hepburn's Eliza Dolittle's dress as possible.
