I've been doing this eye look for a few weeks now fairly often, so I thought I would share with you how I created this look. Since my last blogs on makeup I have had a eye swelling problem caused by allergies that has made it so that my eyes don't look as nice anymore. I have a lot more lines and the skin is very stretched.

I love doing a light smokey eye for day and I spiced it up a little with a satin gold colour.
I wanted to wear a jean skirt today and with that my look automatically goes to a grey smokey eye. But I did want to add a little bit of a highlight using gold.

I was inspired by a look I found on the Urban Decay page of the Sephora website (http://sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtml;jsessionid=HQ1CZ0O4GKFZQCV0KRRQ5UQ?brandId=Urban%20Decay&contentId=C20043).
This was the original look:
And my end result:

Here is a quick look I had to do because in the "Purple Green eyes for Hazel eyes" look I did Wednesday 27th August 2008 (http://teamsugar.com/group/88093/blog/1896125) I showed you how you could have a quick day smokey eye and I wanted to finish it. I'm really tired, so it's going to be a quick blog.

I got the Sephora Smokey Eye kit a couple of days ago and was waiting for a night to try it out, after a couple of days (today) I decided that I didn't care anymore and toned it down a bit to wear it during the day.
I'm one of those weird people that thinks about eyes first and then thinks what hair and clothes go with it. (For everyone that's curious, I had my hair in a loose bun with curls falling out, had jeans on with a tight Billabong sweater and high boots over the jeans.) My scent for today was Calvin Klein One.

For saynogirl I did this light purple smokey eye. Colour can still be worn this winter and for the skin tone she describes (the colour on my profile picture, whilst I'm not that brown anymore) you can wear a colour that's noticeable and smokey, but still light and fun for day wear. She has brown eyes, so in the final picture I photoshopped my eye colour to look more brown.

This tutorial is for a very dramatic smokey eye that is basically black. It is considered sultry, sexy, and some might refer to it as the “Victoria Secret Model” look.
You will need the following products: a matte black base (Blacktrack fluidline), a matte black powder eyeshadow (Carbon eyeshadow), a matte highlight that’s similar to your skintone (Performance eyeshadow), another matte highlight that’s similar to your skintone, but darker than the one before (Malt eyeshadow), a black eye kohl (Graphblack technakohl, Blacktrack fluidline) and [optionally] a shimmery silver or black eyeshadow if you want a shimmery look (Silver Ring eyeshadow). MAC is what I use, but any cosmetic line you use is fine - using similar colors.

Hi! For this dark blue smokey look with a twist (because I used the lighter colour on the crease, instead of the darker shade), I used the following: (Base) Two-faced Shadow Insurance, Painterly p/p, (Lids) Climate Blue es, (Crease) Gulf Stream es, (Outer Corner) Black Tied (Liner) Engraved Powerpoint, then topped off with Nightsky Eye Pencil (it's a glitter liner). (Cheeks) Smashbox Dolce Vita (Lips) 2N lipstick, Oyster Girl lipglass
