Sugared Sirloins
After learning the health benefits of molasses, I decided to find more ways of incorporating this "miracle brew" into my diet. In this particular recipe, the molasses gives the steak marinade a unique and deliciously rich flavor, while it caramelizes during cooking. The cooked marinade can be served on the side instead of steak sauce, which will save you the extra fat, calories, and cholesterol of store-bought sauces.

Admittedly, these aren't exactly Philly Cheesesteaks - I'm not sure those are actually, truly available outside of Philly. And, of course, then it depends on which kind of cheesesteak you prefer. But if you're like me and can't exactly drive to Philly any old time in order to get your cheesesteak fix, this is a great alternative - and one made easy by your slow cooker!

I love eating at Japanese Steakhouses and Sushi Bars, so I thought I'd try to make my own hibachi style dinner. My boyfriend helped me out and found some recipes for me and I took them and made them my own.
Serves: 4-6
8 NY strips
8 portabelle mushrooms
a dash of salt and pepper for each strip
8 tsp of sesame seed oil
8 tsp teriyaki sauce
On a grill or flat electric griddle, grill steaks until rare.

I am a 24 yr old Newlywed of a month and I started cooking as soon as I got engaged (I know I am a late beginner :) Since we gotten home from our honeymoon all I have been cooking is chicken recipes because it's what i am confident in lol My hubby on the other hand likes as he says the "real meat" which is beef. So the last time we were in the market I purchased Chuck Steak fillets. They are hearty portions but I have no clue what to do with them!!

Steak with Shallots and Lyonnaise Potatoes
From Food & Wine magazine
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
3 large Yukon Gold potatoes (1 1/4 pounds), peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 large Vidalia onion, halved lengthwise and very thinly sliced crosswise
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
Four 7-ounce sirloin steaks (1 inch thick)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 large shallots, very thinly sliced
1/2 cup dry red wine
2 tablespoons finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
In a very large nonstick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil until shimmering. Add the potatoes in a slightly overlapping layer and cook over moderately high heat, stirring occasionally, until golden and nearly cooked through, about 8 minutes.Add the onion, season with salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 5 minutes longer. Add 1/2 tablespoon of the vinegar and gently toss to combine.
