Considering this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I though this would be a good post.
There's no part of our bodies that we obsess about more than our breasts. Even those of us not prone to health anxiety wonder which, if any, of our everyday habits are upping our odds of getting breast cancer.

Most of us take prescription drugs -- drugs that, by law, must be prescribed by a doctor -- at some point in our lives. If all goes well, the drug works for you as it's supposed to. But there's no "magic bullet," or drug that works the same for everyone without any risks or side effects.

The Pursuit of Knowledge
The Long Run
By Roger Scruton
The "credit crunch" has raised the question of whether it could have been prevented by a better use of our rational powers, or whether on the contrary it hasn't been just a long-term consequence of the normal forms of rational risk-taking. The tendency to blame Wall Street, the bankers, the hedgefund managers, and all the others who rewarded themselves with such hefty bonuses as their businesses sank is understandable. But does it reflect any real understanding of the problem, and did those people do anything that you or I would not have done, had we been in their shoes?

This go-round, either of her two new movies—Revolutionary Road, which re-unites her with Leonardo DiCaprio, or The Reader—could put a statue in her hands. Winslet talks about having been a fat girl, getting checked out by the moms at her kids’ school, and going one-on-one with DiCaprio for her husband, director Sam Mendes.

A nurse was on duty in the emergency room when a young woman
with
purple hair styled into a punk rocker mohawk, sporting a variety
of
tattoos, and wearing strange clothing, entered. It was quickly
determined that the patient had acute appendicitis, so she was
scheduled
for immediate surgery. When she was completely disrobed on the
operating
table, the staff noticed that her pubic hair had been dyed green,
and
above it there was a tattoo that read, 'Keep off the grass.'

Hollywood actor Colin Farrell has steamed up the screen on many occasions and now does the same for himself. The star, who kicked a deadly drug habit, found his new addiction while filming in New York, taking Russian-style steam baths while covered in honey. Farrell has admitted he went to rehab to get off ecstasy, cocaine, speed, Jack Daniels and wine, told GQ magazine: “There’s something very basic about rubbing honey on your skin and going steaming with a bunch of strange Russian men.”
Colin was a daily visitor to the 10th Street Russian and Turkish Baths where guests are smothered in honey before steaming.
