People see the stars of CW’s “Gossip Girl” in the pages of gossip rags more than on the show.
The cast, featuring Blake Lively, Penn Badgely and Chace Crawford, have become media darlings and household names. But the show’s paltry Nielsen ratings - it averaged 2.2 million total viewers for last year’s premiere season and was the 230th- ranked program of the year - mean it could be in danger of being dropped, unless more eyeballs catch Chuck cavorting with Blair.
