When Nintendo branded its latest video game technology, the Wii, it must have had families in mind. Moms can do yoga, dads can practice golf swings, teens can bounce to Rock Band, and now the wee ones can get involved with games like Knowledge Adventure's JumpStart's Pet Rescue ($40). Preschool-age tots who are awestruck by their older siblings slinging the remote around the living room can do the same as they search for lost pets in an adventurous learning environment.

All anyone can talk about this month is how much weight you can lose playing video games like Dance Dance Revolution and Wii sports, so it's only natural that a website has sprung up to address the exergaming craze.
WiiHealthy.com was started by a bunch of Nintendo fans that love the revolutionary Wii console. "We are happy that Nintendo chose a new direction with its next-gen machine and we’re happy to tell you that this machine can actually save your life," says the site.

There's been a time when video games were only making our fingers do exercise. But the other day, when I looked at all the different choices of games we have, I realized that playing a video game can bring you so much further now. And what if I was really doing the character's movements?

If only I were referring to the ever so stylish wool pea coat, but no, I mean that terrible winter weight that starts to take over this time of year. Beginning with Halloween and, what seems like impossible to escape, candy. This is without a doubt my favorite time of year, but also the worst for fitness.

I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their Smash Brothers Brawl (Wii) codes to play online.
Mine's 1762 2482 9851.
I'm still learning through all the character's moves so I would love the practice!

With the Wii in such high demand this holiday season and even during the year itself, some people out there thought that it would be a good idea to hide your own from would-be thieves.
The creator says.....
"If television has taught me anything (or everything) it’s that the best place to hide something is in plain sight.

Launch of Wii Fit shows Wii still going strong
Published: Tuesday, May 20, 2008
From the Press of Atlantic City:

Sumo wrestlers were the main inspiration behind Wii Fit, Nintendo's latest attempt at getting you off the couch when you play video games.
Because they are so huge, sumo wrestlers need two scales to weigh themselves. Wii Fit's balance board works kind of like two scales fused together, which, as its designers found, makes it instantly more fun than just one.
