Jessica Szohr on her Gossip Girl Style: “Vanessa Is Very ‘Funk’defied’”
Playing Gossip Girl’s Brooklyn boho beauty, Vanessa Abrams, Jessica Szohr has learned a thing or two about accessorizing. “I actually don’t think [Vanessa] can breathe without 8 necklaces or earrings!” Jessica joked to PEOPLE when we caught up with her at a VOGUE Eyewear event in New York City. “My style is much more simple, Vanessa is very funk’defied,” she says about her character’s tendency to pile on the jewels.

I bought this dress a while back but I'm still in love with it. The top pleating is so sculptural, and gives off somewhat of an avant-garde look. The denim downplays the whole aesthetic, which I like because that means you can easily wear it during the daytime.

As most of you know, my husband and I have been very actively engaged in redoing our patio as an outdoor living area since the Memorial Day weekend. We've been busy and we are certainly making a huge amount of progress. But it is quite a lot of work.
