Some of you know I'm getting married at the end of the month, and it's occupying a lot of my thoughts right now....so I'm curious to know what you married girls used for your bouquets. I've already chosen my flowers, and I'm doing an all cream bouquet, not fixed or tight, with amaryllis, ranunculus, tulips, orchids, and mini calla lilies.
Were you traditional with roses?

The wedding tradition of throwing a bride's bouquet for luck proved to be unlucky at one Italian wedding when the bride's bouquet caused a plane to explode and crash in Montioni Park in Suvereto, Tuscany.
According to a report by the BBC, the bride and groom hired a small plane to fly over the wedding reception and throw the bouquet to the female guests. But instead of falling to the ground, the bouquet was sucked into the plane's engine, causing it to catch fire and explode, the story said.

This corner is one of my favorite bright and cheerful spots in my home right now. I love the Dala horse, which is a little more punk rock than your typical red Swedish dala horse (my grandpa used to make and paint them when I was a kid). The flowers, which are in a simple Ikea vase, are echinops, which dry really well, and were saved from my wedding bouquet.
