It seems unanimous: geeky women approve of video game infused gatherings and parties complete with a little Wii, PlayStation and Xbox action, so why not add a little video gaming to your bridal shower? At first I was a tad appalled by the idea - being an old fashioned girl who thinks bridal showers should be filled with overflowing tea pots, scrumptious tea cake and dorky question games (you know forcing the bride to recall the outfit the groom was wearing the day they met is so much fun), but with a little bit of convincing - namely an enthusiastic response to my geek bachelorette party ideas - I am now a staunch supporter of setting up a video game station or competition at your bridal shower.
My reasoning is simple: If you and your girlfriends have fun playing video games at a regular party, you'll have twice as much fun doing it at a bridal party, which are often attended by all those aunts, cousins and co-workers you don't know that well.

THEY are harsh words, but probably sound advice for the British girl who is now dating George Clooney. "Just enjoy the love affair while it lasts - and guard your heart," says the Hollywood star's former girlfriend Kimberly Russell.
"Eventually, a woman finds that George simply ain't the marrying kind."

I live in CO, but my entire family lives in MI, so my shower was held there in October 2007. We didn't want to burden anyone by using their home/time, so we chose the gorgeous Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester Hills as the venue. It was perfect--quaint, elegant, and very accommodating, with terrific staff and amazing food.

Hugh Hefner may finally be growing up. Whoever thought a man could jump from stunted 25-year-old bachelor to senior citizen without any of the stages that generally come in between? According to Pop Tarts, Hef is finally planning on retiring the bunny ears.

As a confused 9-year-old, Jennifer Blum learned her first lesson about boundaries. And it had nothing to do with sidelines or foul balls.
