Christmas came early this year for The Moment: on Friday, two of our editors met their style muse, the 22-year-old Whitney Port. (In case you aren’t aware, Whitney has a role on MTV’s “The Hills,” a glossy reality show about a circle of attractive friends in Los Angeles that has gone from being must-see TV for ‘tweens to chic dinner-party fodder.) The Moment met Whitney in the green room before her in-store appearance at Bloomingdale’s, where she was raising money for a children’s charity, promoting perfume and passing out lollipops.

Why The Hills and The City are my favourite hangover cures...
When I first heard about reality TV 'The Hills' I scoffed that it would be sad to sit and watch people doing day to day things on MTV such as sipping cocktails and chatting about boys on the couch. However I found myself enthralled in one certain episode one eve at home (which I later denied) and decided I wouldn't tell a soul about my newfound junk TV obsession.

At least that’s what we think after asking what issues she’s most concerned about in the upcoming election: “I think the two main ones right now are obviously the abortion rights, and I think it’s really important that women have the rights that they deserve,” Whit answered, as if she weren’t a member of her own sex, but whatev.
