Nicole Kidman was one of six red carpet favorites Sunday night at the Oscars. Her cherry red one shoulder Balenciaga gown elongated this already statuesque beauty, making her one of our best dressed stars. Although it would be nice to live like a celebrity and wear head to toe designer duds, we know that's just wishful thinking.

If there was a best dressed on the red carpet through the ages I would say it is Cate Blanchett. A fun flirty frock would have been my first choice for such an event so I thought this was a fun trend to report. While the A-Listers were off at that stuffy (okay, fun looking) Vanity Fair party, Jennifer Love Hewitt was hosting the annual Esquire/AIDS charity benefit party at the Abbey. This Oscars party held court for Something-Listers like Lance Bass, Haylie Duff and her boyfriend AJ DiScala. Yeah, the guest list may not be utterly thrilling, but at least J-Love looked great!
