We've been having lots of fun with our list of the most shocking headlines of 2007, but all shocking things must come to an end. Today we present you with our last headline of 2007, and later on you can decide which one is the most shocking of all.

This time last year, Vanessa Hudgens was the sweet teenager that kids everywhere were looking up to thanks to a little Disney movie called High School Musical. She was still relatively unknown on the Hollywood scene, but after the movie's explosive success and sequel, combined with her relationship with rising star Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens began to make a name for herself. Unfortunately, her career as a Disney darling hit a big bump when a nude photo of the star was leaked on the Internet in September. The media went wild, and we were all shocked to learn that Vanessa wasn't the innocent teenager she appeared to be. With her future with Disney in question, Vanessa was quickly put into the ranks of other troubled starlets. In the end, Disney gave her a break and let her keep her job for HSM 3 and we have a feeling that she'll be a little more careful with her camera in 2008 and beyond.

2007 Shocking Headlines: Rosie vs. Her Co-Hosts

We've been counting down the most shocking headlines of 2007, and we'll be revealing one more each day through December 21. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that we certainly weren't expecting to see.

Back in 2006, The View suffered a big loss when Meredith Vieira headed on to The Today Show. Barbara announced Rosie O'Donnell would be the new moderator that was definitely a big change and one that seemed like it could add a breath of fresh air to the table. Unfortunately, Rosie only seemed to bring drama and negativity to the show from the moment she began. She carried her seemingly never ending feud with Donald Trump into the new year, eventually causing her to clash with Barbara Walters herself and it was all downhill from there. The tensions between Rosie and the other women only got worse as she and Elisabeth Hasselbeck started seriously squabbling, bringing things to a head when Rosie attacked Elisabeth and called her ignorant. The aftermath made speculative headlines about the fate of the show, but in the end Rosie decided to leave The View. The combination of her desire to hog headlines and lose her temper even scored her a spot on our poll for most annoying celebrity of 2007 but we hope that 2008 will be a calmer year in the life of Rosie where she can save her rants for her personal blog.

2007 Most Shocking Headlines: Surprise Pregnancies

If 2006 was the year of celebrity babies, then 2007 was the year of surprising celebrity pregnancies. Salma Hayek started it off with her seemingly out-of-the-blue pregnancy/engagement one-two punch, but little did we know the other shocking announcements we had coming. After months of speculation that we never took seriously, we had trouble believing Nicole Richie's pregnancy, even after she confirmed it. From wrong way on the freeway DUI to beaming mom-to-be in under a year. And then, when we least expected it this week, Jessica Alba announced that she, too, would become a mom in 2008. Other fabulous notable baby bumps like Halle, J Lo, and Christina were just as exciting but not as shocking. All in all 2007 was a year filled with baby surprises, so we'd like to send a big congratulations to all of the celebrities who will be expanding their families in 2008!

2007 Shocking Headlines: Anna Nicole Smith's Controversial Death

For the next 10 days, we're highlighting our most shocking stories of the year as part of our Best of 2007 coverage. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that we certainly weren't expecting to see.

While the end of 2006 brought both lifetime highs - the birth of Dannielynn, her wedding to Howard K. Stern - and lows - the death of her son Daniel - to Anna Nicole Smith, everyone hoped that 2007 would finally be a time of peace. Sadly, this was never to be, as she unexpectedly passed away on February 8 in a situation that seemed scarily shady from the get go. From that moment we were thrust into a 24/7 new cycle of Anna stories from the questionable paternity of her child to a judge who was all about the showmanship. No one was shocked when Larry Birkhead turned out to be the father and, somehow, the unlikely hero of the whole mess. He seems to be living peacefully and happily with his daughter now, while Howard K. Stern remains a part of her life. Anna Nicole Smith will always be remembered as one of the biggest headlines of this year, and hopefully in 2008 she will finally rest in peace.

Yesterday we kicked off the most shocking headlines of 2007, and we'll be revealing one more each day through December 21. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that we certainly weren't expecting to see.

For most of 2007 we watched Owen Wilson make movies, get playful with Kate Hudson, and hang out in San Francisco - all the while with a smile on his face. What we didn't know was the inner pain Owen was experiencing, making his suicide attempt in late August both surprising and hard to understand. There was no shortage of rumors placing blame on everything from depression to drugs to his breakup with Kate. Owen kept a low profile, dropped out of a few projects to rest and emerged at the premiere of Darjeeling Limited looking a little more subdued but still the comedian we know and love. In the past couple of months Owen is back on the beach, into skirt-chasing and spending time with his boys like Woody, Wes and Luke, giving us hope that 2008 will be nothing but good times and funny films.

Lindsay Lohan entered rehab three times (left twice) and had two DUIs under her belt by the time Autumn rolled around this year, but even considering the myriad of messes she got herself into in 2007, it was still that second arrest that shocked us the most. Backtracking a bit LL started out the year in the hospital getting her "appendix removed" (sure) before quickly heading off to Rehab No. 1 (Wonderland) where she craved McDonald's. Right after LL left, however, she was back to bad-girl ways including (one of her) rumored coke scandals. And then just like that she got her first DUI (where she fled the scene, leaving coke in her car) over Memorial Day weekend and promptly shipped herself to Rehab No. 2 (Promises). She stayed in rehab through her 21st birthday and then left, proudly flaunting her SCRAM alcohol-monitoring anklet. Only, she disobeyed it within weeks and even when we were still holding out hope that she wasn't drinking again, she was caught for yet another DUI, while chasing down her assistant who tried to quit, this time with coke in her pocket. Yikes. Then it was Rehab No. 3 (Cirque Lodge) in Utah, where Lindsay stayed for three months, reconciling with her dad and finding a short-lived boyfriend. Since then, she served a minute or so in jail and shopped a lot. She's quieted down a bit since that fateful July night, but knowing LL, she'll never let her life get boring. Hopefully at least 2008 is a little more healthy.

Most Shocking Headlines: Paris in and Out of Jail

Paris Hilton kicked off what proved to be a pivotal year by pleading not guilty to her September DUI charge. Before she even got her sentence, her personal life was thrown into disarray a few weeks later when a little website called Paris Exposed hit the Internet, offering up access to lots of private videos, photos, notes and letters revealing all sorts of juicy tidbits about Paris' scandalous life as a party girl.

In late February Paris had more car troubles - this time she was pulled over for driving without the headlights on and for driving with a suspended license. In March the rumors started flying that Paris' problems with the law could land her in jail, and sure enough, in May she was sentenced to serve 45 days in prison. Her sentence was quickly cut down to 23 days, but we still never thought we would ever see the day where she would don an orange jumpsuit. However, the heiress quietly checked herself into a facility immediately after leaving the MTV Movie Awards, complete with a glamorous new mug shot.

We weren't surprised that Paris was released three days later due to a medical condition and given a new sentence of 40 days house arrest with an ankle monitor. Unfortunately for Paris, she barely had time to settle back into her house before she was carted back to jail with tears streaming down her face the very next day. After serving her 23 days, Paris strutted out on June 25 with a huge smile. A few days later she gave Larry King her first post-jail interview where she claimed that she never did drugs and was now a changed person who was going to be more responsible and charitable. Paris did spend some time giving back in the months following her jail time, but by December she was back to her standard partying ways. We will give her credit for her best decision of 2007 - she finally hired a driver.

Most Shocking Headlines: Isaiah Washington's Grey's Scandal

After his infamous feud with Patrick Dempsey last October, we were unsure about what 2007 would hold for Isaiah Washington and Dr. Burke on Grey's Anatomy. The aftermath continued at the Golden Globes when Katherine Heigl jumped to her BFF T.R.'s defense when asked about the situation on the red carpet, while Isaiah denied that he even used a homophobic slur in the first place. However, T.R. Knight finally spoke up for himself for the first time on Ellen a few days later, reiterating that Isaiah had called him an offensive name. GLAAD then demanded another apology from Isaiah, who obliged and even went to a psychological treatment facility for a week. In the end, Isaiah's efforts and apologies were too little too late, and his contract with ABC was terminated in June. Even getting fired didn't stop him from putting his foot in his mouth though, saying that he was mad as hell, sad, and that T.R. should've been fired instead. Isaiah topped it all off with an interview on Larry King Live in July where he basically changed the whole story, but by that time everyone seemed over it. Isaiah moved on with a role on Bionic Woman and just last week we saw him picketing with his ex-castmates. Even if they keep it cordial, we have a feeling that things on the set of Grey's are much calmer and happier this season.

Most Shocking Headlines: Nick Hogan's Car Accident

While most of this year for Hulk Hogan and his family consisted of another season for Hogan Knows Best and Brooke's near constant inclusion on worst dressed lists, in late August the family suffered a tragedy, changing their year and lives irreparably. Nick Hogan was the driver in a serious car accident that left his passenger and good friend, John Graziano, in a vegetative state. Details quickly emerged that he was allegedly involved in a street race at the time and had a pretty terrible record of traffic (and whoa, speeding) violations. Nick's license was suspended and he was eventually arrested, but that is the least of his worries as Graziano, an Iraq war vet, remains in the hospital and is not expected to recover. There are also stories that underage Nick had been drinking before getting behind the wheel that fateful day. The stress of the tragedy proved to be too much for the family, and in late November Linda Hogan filed for divorce from Hulk after over 20 years of marriage. Hulk recently said he feels hopeful about both situations. I'm sure that he hopes 2008 and his premiere as the host of American Gladiators is a new beginning in more ways than one. As we look back on this story, our thoughts go out to the Graziano family.
