Beyoncé Gets Countrified
Perhaps it's just me, but Sugarland's cover of Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable" is down home hilarious. They gave it their best shot at last night's American Music Awards show, but I don't think "ya got me twisted" has the same appeal when sung with a southern accent. Beyoncé eventually stepped on stage to show us how it should done, but her voice couldn't make amends for the accordions in the background.

Last night was all about the AI alums at the American Music Awards. Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry (and his band) walked away with three glass pyramids apiece while Justin Timberlake won two, but had to accept via satellite. He seemed so thrilled about it, too.
Sexy Men and Sweethearts Sing Their Hearts Out
AMA winner Fergie opened the show last night with a medley of her latest and greatest hits. It was a strong start for a show that definitely included some memorable performances including glow in the dark dancer, Chris Brown and Rihanna who looked way better on stage than on the red carpet. Former American Idol contestants and Justin Timberlake ruled the night at the American Music Awards on Sunday. Chris Daughtry's band, Daughtry, and Carrie Underwood each took home three awards — Daughtry for pop/rock album, adult contemporary artist, and breakthrough artist, Underwood for country album, female country artist, and the T-Mobile text-in award. Timberlake, who accepted his awards via video from Australia, won for male pop/rock artist and soul/r&b album.
