Rob Corddry Scores Deal With Warner Bros. For His Own Show
Rob Corddry, one of my favorite comedic actors who's usually relegated to bit parts in movies, has struck a deal with Warner Bros. to get his own sitcom.
Corddry will create, executive produce and star in the TV show, which he describes as an "unconventional family comedy" set in a "weird world that doesn't run by an exact rule."
Cool Job: Pete Hottelet, Creator of the Real Sex Panther
Pete Hottelet has never believed in doing work that doesn’t make you happy. So when he got the idea to take a fictional product from one of his favorite movies and turn it into the real deal, he went for it. Hottelet, a graphic designer based in Oakland, CA, is the founder of Omni Consumer Products, a company that specializes in "defictionalization."
Is Kylie Hosting The Brit Awards?
Lovely Kylie Minogue was getting a whole lot of male attention in Argentina yesterday, as men jumped on each other's backs to get a glimpse at the pop princess. She's over there on tour at the moment, and stepped out for a little shopping on her day off. The latest rumours are that Kylie is to host the 2009 Brit Awards alongside the hilarious James Corden and Mathew Horne of Gavin & Stacey fame.
Jessica Really Appeals to the Teens
Apparently Jessica and Cash didn't have time to take advantage of being in Paris after Eva and Tony's wedding, because the two were at the airport on their way out yesterday morning. And don't they just look thrilled as usual (though I'm loving her coat)? Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer may have been a bit overshadowed by the other Summer blockbusters, but the Teen Choice Awards committee took notice and nominated Jessica for 3 awards: Hissy Fit, Female Hottie, Action Adventure Actress.
