Well, the Oscars are over, and it's safe to say the Coen Brothers swept this year's awards ceremony! We chuckled at Jon Stewart's jokes, swooned at Best Actress Marion Cotillard's acceptance speech and grew a little teary-eyed at the "dearly departed" montage which ended with Heath Ledger. I blogged about all my thoughts during the ceremony and asked you what you thought of the wins, some of which were easy to predict (Daniel Day-Lewis, duh) while others were surprises (Tilda Swinton!).

All the acting winners at the Oscars gave stellar performances in the press room, smiling wide with their new gold arm candy. Actors from our side of the pond gave a cool-Britannia performance on stage, with Helen Mirren mock-knighting Daniel Day-Lewis when she presented him with his award for Best Actor before the pair posed together in the press room along with the other happy winners and presenters. We were excited to see Tilda Swinton also flying the flag for us, with her Best Supporting Actress award.

Last night at the Dorchester Hotel in London, celebrities and beauty business fixtures gathered for the 17th Annual Fragrance Foundation UK Awards (better known as "The Fifi's"). The profits from the event were donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust, and in the past few years alone, The Fifi's have raised over £100,000 for the charity.
I was lucky enough to speak with Janine Roxbrough Bunce, the Executive Director of the Fragrance Foundation this morning, who said, "the atmosphere last night was starry and electric.

In my opinion, there are never enough furry friends in Oscar-nominated movies, even though one big winner in 2008 included a gruesome dog scene. I took a look at this year's nominated films and nominees, then tried to come up with as many wild facts as I could about the actors and the movies in question. If you think you know a thing or two (or seven) about the 2009 Oscars, take my quiz and see if you really do.

Last night in Pasadena stars came out to grace the red carpet and stage at the 2008 Alma Awards. Once again, Eva Longoria played host for the night and showed off a few costume changes like she did at last year's awards. Jessica Alba didn't have Cash with her to gaze lovingly like Eva and Tony, but she lit up the red carpet all the same continuing her smiley weekend.

Kate Moss is trying to get a legal injunction to stop Pete Doherty from using their "raunchy" home videos in a TV special that a British channel is paying him $1 million to put together. The program is called "Kate and Pete: A Love Story" and it sounds like we're not the only ones happy that love story is over.

Nickelodeon hosted the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday night, and similar to last year, the big stars — like Will Smith — brought their families for a stroll down the orange carpet. Wannabe Award winner Cameron Diaz, America Ferrera and Ashlee Simpson were just a few of the ladies who got girlie in dresses, while Rihanna and Abigail Breslin went more casual in jeans. Check out Fab's coverage of the ladies' looks, as well as their Love it or Hate it polls.
