Even though it's hot out, I can't seem to keep my hands — or wallet — away from the Fall goodies in stores. Perhaps it's a consequence of those Fall glimpses. In the past two days, I purchased a semisheer black sweater, a thin dolman-sleeve cardi, and a nubby funnel neck scarf.

OK, we've already checked out the wackiest runway looks from London and Madrid fashion weeks. And now that Milan's shows are over, here are 17 hair and makeup looks that could set trends for Fall. Some are hot, some are not — but not a single one is boring.

If being the editor of French Vogue weren't enough, Carine Roitfeld is taking her skills to a television screen near you. Carine has allowed CNN to follow in her fashionable footsteps during Milan and Paris Fashion Week for a documentary slated to air later this month.
“I am being followed round all the shows, and they are doing lots of interviews,” said Roitfeld.

Thus far, Milan Fashion Week has brought out a bevy of celebs and stylistas wearing their finest. I'm loving all of their fashion-forward frocks, but what's really catching my undivided attention are their dazzling adornments. Are you paying attention to their decadent accessories, too?

Stefano and Domenico put exaggerated shoulders firmly on the map this week with their Autumn '09 collection. The high glamour '80s inspired line mainly relied on a dark palette with an extreme shot of colour via a few neon pink items. It was a fun show taking inspiration from Marilyn Monroe (whose face was printed on a dress) and Minnie Mouse (who was represented with plenty of polka dots and rounded shoulders).

Every once in a season, a house returns to its roots. Miuccia didn't deliver a high level of experimentation with Fall, but she did deliver some strong outerwear, lovable paillette-induced pieces, and a trend-free austere collection of clothes. Check out the thigh-high Wellies, perfect for a hard day's night.

Plenty of British stars took to the red carpet for the Extreme Beauty In Vogue party and dinner in Milan last night. Orlando Bloom looked handsome in his suit as did David Beckham, who is on track to stay at AC Milan until the end of June if negotiations work out. Peaches Geldof continued her Fashion Week tour by moving on from the front rows of London to the shows of Milan with Blake Wood on her arm.

Milan Fashion Week is happening as we speak. Aside from exciting runway presentations, there are hordes of parties, one of them being Extreme Beauty in Vogue. The event, held at the Palazzo della Ragione, brought out a gaggle of beauties like Scarlett Johansson (the new face of Dolce & Gabbana), Eva Mendes, Kate Hudson, Freida Pinto, and Claudia Schiffer.

Christopher Bailey stuck to a classic British Autumn look for the latest Burberry collection drawing from a dark colour palette of browns, and sombre blacks. It has been criticised slightly for being too depressing, with layers of tweed, heavy coats and a shape-less silhouette. However, I feel that Bailey knows how British people dress which is with plenty of layers, slouchy shapes and comfort.
