Jarhead was okay. I enjoyed Peter Sarsgaard and Jakey - both were well-cast. Having an ex-miliary ex-husband, I listened to the book on CD with him during a road trip a few years ago. Book was better, of course. It was different kind of war book/movie since it was more about the main character's frustration with being trained, thrown into a war and then never being able to actually use his skills and "fight."

Haven't seen Donnie Darko either but heard good things about that one.

I liked Jarhead, and that's when I first fell in love (lust) with Jakey.

I think MM is WAY over-rated. Go ahead and stone me for saying that, but it's the truth!

Believe it or not, I have not sat down and watched Donnie Darko. I know I would really like it, it is right up my alley because I like dark movies.
