Harold, the rapidly aging teen.
Nikki Blonsky, Ally Sheedy and Colin Quinn have been added to the cast of the comedy Harold, all about a prematurely balding teenager (played by Spencer Breslin). Blonsky, in her first role after Hairspray, will play Harold's loyal, nerdy friend Rhonda.

In honor of national candy month, I thought I'd pull out a classic candy-related TV Dinner clip for us all. Do you remember the lunchtime scene in The Breakfast Club? Molly Ringwald confuses Judd Nelson with sushi, Emilio Estevez has enough food for a large family and Ally Sheedy perplexes everyone by tossing the pimento loaf out of her sandwich and replaces it with Pixy Stix and Cap'n Crunch cereal instead?

Chris Klein and Ginnifer Goodwin screened their film, Day Zero at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend. In the movie Chris and Elijah Wood play New Yorkers who are drafted for the military and have only 30 days to prepare for duty. Ginnifer plays Chris' wife in the film - how perfect is that?

It looks like we have some bad ideas bookending this week as we kicked off with Monday's news of a rumored remake of Casablanca and now we have another doozy: the possible remake of the 1986 hit Short Circuit.
While the rumor has floated around for several years, Variety now reports that the film rights have been acquired and the writers are hired, which means this train has officially left the station.
My initial reaction when I learned about this was: Stop messing with my childhood!

After watching Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy's 80's classic WarGames last night, I was reminded of the wonder of Galaga and the many hours I spent as a kid trying to leave my initials on the ranking board. So, fellow geeks, what's your top arcade pick?
