What age would you consider to be "middle aged"? 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s?
Well it turns out that 60% of Americans believe that the 60s are the new "middle age," thanks to healthy eating, longer life spans and not to mention a cool $9.4 billion spent per year in cosmetic surgery.

According to new U.S. Census Bureau data, Americans spend an average of about eight-and-a-half hours a day doing sedentary activities such as watching television, using computers (though I think it's OK if you're on FIT), reading, listening to the radio, or going to the movies. This sedentary lifestyle is the main contributing factor as to why we are the most obese people on the planet.

Today there's more intel on NBC's restaurateur reality TV show, formerly titled United Plates of America. Variety reports that the competition, which will air next season, has a new name, America's Next Great Restaurant, that's perhaps more fitting of the show's premise than its old title.
In addition, Bobby Flay has signed on to be one of the five restaurant and business leaders who will be a judge, mentor, and investor to the contestants.

Jessica Simpson was stunning in red this morning as she headed out for an appearance on Good Morning America — her interview is after the jump. She's out and about doing the press rounds for The Price of Beauty before its premiere tonight on VH1, and her day's itinerary also included a stop by The View. It's been a busy few days for Jess, after she kicked off her stay in NYC with a stop by The Late Show last week.

The actress attended the NYC premiere of Our Family Wedding looking snazzier than ever in a vintage gold sweetheart frock from the '80s by Angelo Tarlazzi. The poufy skirt and chunky gold doorknocker earrings are super fun, while black peep-toes are pure elegance.

Hard to believe that it's the fourteenth cycle of America's Next Top Model, but there are many more beautiful people in the world, and it's up to Tyra to find them. The new season premieres tonight with a significant change: it'll be the last appearance of Miss J and the first of Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, who's taking over as judge (look for his saying "dreckitude" to be the next hot catchphrase). Get a peek at the gorgeous gals in the running for the title right here.

Oh boy oh boy — another America's Next Top Model finale has come and gone, and once again we have a winner who's sufficient, in my opinion. No matter which way you slice it, the top three this year were all nice girls who came with unique strengths.
And I'm just going to say it: Tyra's hair during the first panel looked like a dead poodle.
