21 Afterparty Brings Out Stars and Supermodels

The celebrating kept going long after the premiere of 21 in NYC last night. Kate Bosworth ditched her blazer and got giggly with her friend Helena Christensen, while Mary-Kate Olsen was looking adorable in her shiny belted jumpsuit. Elle Macpherson was also in the house, celebrating her new gig as as the next spokesperson for Revlon. All the celebs look like they're having a blast, and we can't wait to see if the movie is as much fun as its pretty cast.

The Ladies of The Women Bring Their Party to NYC

Eva Mendes took a break from all her Fashion Week duties last night to attend a screening of The Women in NYC with her costars Jada Pinkett Smith, Meg Ryan, and Debi Mazar. Unlike last week's big premiere in LA, Annette Bening and Debra Messing sat this one out, but Julia Stiles and Bette Midler stepped in. Even Mick Jagger, who is one of the film's producers, joined them for the afterparty at the Gramercy Park Hotel - though it probably wasn't hard to convince him to spend the evening surrounded by beautiful ladies. The reviews for this movie aren't exactly raves, but hopefully the all-star women cast can still bring out the audiences.

For Charlize, It's Not Easy Pretending to Be Ugly

Charlize glowed in gold (with a questionable hairstyle) alongside her co-star Nick Stahl at a screening of Sleepwalking in NYC last night. In the past few years she's earned a bit of a reputation for choosing roles that hide her beauty, and her newest film fits right in with the trend. According to the actress, her character's appearances don't have any impact on how she picks her parts, saying,

"At the end of the day, it isn’t about what I physically look like - it comes back to storytelling. If I can find a good story, [that] is all that matters; I don’t judge a character on what I physically look like. I really don't care about appearance; that is so secondary to everything else that's more important in life."

Charlize has vented her frustrations about getting picked on for her movie choices more than once, but somehow it's hard to feel bad for someone who wakes up looking like that in the morning.
