- Rick Astley is the unsuspecting star of an internet prank; Rickrolling, where surfers click through onto a video of Rick Astley's brilliantly cheesy song "Never Gonna Give You Up" instead of what was advertised. Now people are Rickrolling in real life, eg: outside this Scientology building, as a form of harmless protest. He thinks "It's a bit spooky, innit."

Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella died today at the age of 54 of a hemorrhage following surgery. He won the Best Director Oscar in 1997 for The English Patient, and was later nominated for his work on The Talented Mr. Ripley. He also directed Cold Mountain and the 2006 drama Breaking and Entering.

Jude Law & Robin Wright Penn were promoting their latest movie, Breaking and Entering. Robin is looking much better than her heart throb co-star these days. We love RWP and wish she worked more, but when she does we know it's going to be a great film.

Jude Law enjoyed an evening of art at Haunch of Venison's Mythologies Private Viewing in London last night. Dressed in a leather jacket and scarf, the art lover looked more steady on his feet than last week, when he partied the night away with Guy Ritchie at the Punch Bowl. Jonathan Ross will host the Bafta Awards this year, he announced via his Twitter yesterday, and all of the nominations for this year's ceremony have now been released. The ceremony will take place at the Royal Opera House in London on February 8, and Kate Winslet continues her awesome awards season with two nominations in the best actress category, and Slumdog Millionaire has an enormous 11 nominations including Best Actor for lovely Dev Patel!
