Although I haven't had a chance to dive into the full release version of Batman: Arkham Asylum since it landed in my mailbox on Monday, I did get a taste of the action while at E3. From the 15 minute demo that I witnessed, I can tell you that the game is kinda creepy, but totally awesome. .

Now that Christian Bale has lit up the big screen for another Summer blockbuster in Terminator Salvation, tell me: How do you like your Bale? As the gravel-voiced Bruce Wayne of the Batman movies? Or as the intense leader, John Connor, in a futuristic Terminator world?

Who knows when the next installment of the Batman film series will come out? You'll be inclined to not care (as much) after seeing this trailer for new video game Batman: Arkham Asylum, where Batman looks like the villain in the realm of criminals.
Voicing Joker is Mark Hamill (that's Luke to you, geeks), giving a different feel from Heath Ledger's portrayal — but it's nearly as chilling.

Even with toy cars and low-budget costumes, this kid-produced version of The Dark Knight is strangely haunting, and the actors are adorably earnest. Don't miss the tension-filled moment around 1:15, where Batman whizzes past the joker on his tricycle. (Thanks, Stupid Videos!)

Interestingly, neither a BFF movie nor a stoner action-comedy could dethrone The Dark Knight in its fourth weekend. Having already surpassed the $400 million mark in domestic ticket sales, the superhero movie pulled in another $26 million over the weekend.
According to Variety, the movie has now taken the place of Shrek 2 to "become the third highest domestic grosser of all time with a cume of $441.5 million.

If you caught The Dark Knight already, you might want to go back for a second look — did you know you may have been watching a flick all about George W. Bush? According to this WSJ op-ed, it's true: There seems to me no question that the Batman film The Dark Knight, currently breaking every box office record in history, is at some level a paean of praise to the fortitude and moral courage that has been shown by George W.

Many thought that breaking Spider-Man 3's record for the biggest opening weekend ever would be difficult, even for The Dark Knight. But the much-hyped and critically adored sequel to Batman Begins shattered many records over the weekend — including Spidey's.
Earning an estimated $155.4 million, Bruce Wayne and gang smashed box office records for the biggest single-day gross in history and the biggest opening weekend for an IMAX release.

Plain and simple, Christian Bale makes my heart go pitter-patter! And even though I'm not a fan of comic book movie remakes, I'll gladly sit through three hours of Bale on the big screen in The Dark Knight! I know some people can't get the thought of American Psycho out of their heads when thinking of him, but without reservation, I'd do Christian Bale in a heartbeat!

So you're excited for the new Batman movie, are ya? Does your knowledge start and stop with Christian Bale? (I'd understand if it does, he's so beautiful.) Or do you sharply remember all that came before Christopher Nolan's reboot?
