Ryan Gosling looked like a hot and vastly improved version of himself at a screening of Lars and the Real Girl in NYC last night. While the mustache is still pretty ridiculous, his handsome somehow shines through. He cozied up to his costars, Emily Mortimer and Patricia Clarkson, who are also excellent in the movie — which I wholeheartedly recommend.

Beyonce has been nominated for ten Grammy awards, and Taylor Swift has been nominated for eight for the 52nd annual ceremony. The nominations were announced at a concert last night where Black Eyed Peas and Nick Jonas & the Administration performed, while Katy Perry, LL Cool J, Ringo Starr, Smokey Robinson and others announced the acts that have been honoured with a nomination. We'll have to wait until 2010 for the ceremony, but you can be sure that there were some celebs partying last night thanks the the announcements, including David Guetta, Drake and Maxwell who all attended.

Alzheimer’s Disease Toll Increasing
More than 5 million Americans now have Alzheimer’s disease, and the number could increase to 16 million by mid-century, according to a 2007 report from the Alzheimer’s Association.
New Drug Indication
In 2006, the FDA expanded the use of donepezil (Aricept) to include treatment of people with severe dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Donepezil was previously approved only for people with mild-to-moderate dementia.

Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), sometimes called "mini-strokes," are caused by temporary reduction of blood flow to the brain. Generally, TIAs occur when platelets in the blood clump together in your arteries, blocking blood flow. Symptoms usually last only 10 - 15 minutes and clear up within 24 hours.

Brokeback Mountain got 8 nominations for Oscar hopefuls this morning. What a way to kick off the day for Heath and Jake. The film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and best Supporting Actor for Jake and Michelle.
