I took gymnastics like many young girls, and while I loved playing with the white powder by the uneven bars, my favorite part of class was jumping on the trampoline. Who knew I could have made a career out of it! Check out this video of a strong and fearless acrobat practicing his Cirque du Soleil act that involves bouncing off walls and doing flips from one trampoline to another.

Cirque du Soleil turns 25 years old this year — a quarter of a century of amazing acrobatics, over-the-top costumes, and praise-worthy showmanship. If you've ever been to one of Cirque's shows, you know it's all about the theatrics. Lots and lots of it!

Flying through the air might scare the daylights out of some people, but I happen to find it pretty appealing. There's a time and place for sparkly blue eye shadow, and 9:30 a.m. at work is not it. (Unless, of course, you work at Cirque du Soleil, in which case, have at it.) For most of us, looking professional is about looking polished.
