Trampoline Workout on Steroids

I took gymnastics like many young girls, and while I loved playing with the white powder by the uneven bars, my favorite part of class was jumping on the trampoline. Who knew I could have made a career out of it! Check out this video of a strong and fearless acrobat practicing his Cirque du Soleil act that involves bouncing off walls and doing flips from one trampoline to another. Amazing.

Cirque du Soleil turns 25 years old this year - a quarter of a century of amazing acrobatics, over-the-top costumes, and praise-worthy showmanship. If you've ever been to one of Cirque's shows, you know it's all about the theatrics. Lots and lots of it! Colorful stripes, silly polka dots, top hats, sequins, feathers, bow ties, and ballet slippers are all part of the freaky fun. For makeup ideas, check out Bella's 21 hair and makeup looks you WON'T be wearing come Spring. And unlike everyday life, you can pile on all these things on Oct. 31; the more, the freakier.

Strike news: A huge number of actors will be recording PSAs in support of the writers on the LA Weekly's Deadline Hollywood Daily blog; the New York Times says some showrunners have returned to their non-writing duties; the LA Times says the strike could cost the city $20 million per day; and Variety has the news that directors have reached a deal that will probably keep them off the picket lines.

TV Teens Are Taken by Wintuk

The newest Cirque du Soleil show, Wintuk, premiered at MSG last night bringing out some of our most favorite new TV stars - Blake Lively and Ed Westwick (Serena and Chuck) from Gossip Girl. In case you missed all the in depth coverage of last night's episode (which was amazing, btw), check it out here. Also out to see the whimsical new show was Abigail Breslin, Leelee Sobieski's tights and cute Hunter Parish, who plays Silas on Weeds. There's no fun like watching a few good hours of crazy, crazy flexible people bouncing around in elaborate costumes, right?
