Before the Grammys took over last night, the stars got a chance to get warmed up at Clive Davis's annual pre-party on Saturday night. Whitney Houston gave her all up on stage, along with Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis. Chris and Rihanna looked lovey dovey and happy, just a few hours before his shocking alleged assault.

While Justin Timberlake and T.I. were filming their new music video yesterday, some of the other Grammy performers and nominees were in LA getting ready for the big show. Jennifer Hudson practiced for Saturday night's Clive Davis party, where she'll be performing a duet with a surprise guest before taking the stage again Sunday.

After showing the love for Marc Jacobs at his Fashion Week show, Victoria Beckham cozied up to her designer friend at a party celebrating Jennifer Hudson's upcoming album last night. You're all loving her new super-short hair, and Posh is enjoying her new look too. She said, "I wanted to pull my hair back from my face and have always loved the idea of having a gamine crop.

Whitney Houston divorced Bobby Brown and has been parading around town with music mogul Clive Davis the last couple of months, so I've wondered if something like a comeback was a-brewin'. Whitney was once a beloved diva with a phenomenal voice, but then drugs and other problems began to sink her career.
Yet, now there's news of an album in the works, on track for a holiday-time release.

Clive Davis helped kick off the Grammys with his annual pre-show party on Saturday at the Beverly Hilton in LA. The appearance of the night was, of course, Whitney Houston who looked fabulous on the red carpet and with her wardrobe change inside. The icon was joined at the party by Lindsay Lohan in seafoam green and Rihanna in a very full-coverage number.

All sorts of random celebrities came out on Thursday night for the La Dolce Vita Benefit for the Sarah Ferguson Foundation at Cipriani in NYC. The original Fergie happily posed on the red carpet with an equally excited Brandy and Natasha Bedingfield. LL Cool J asserted his status as number one.

Jennifer Hudson glowed in green yesterday as she performed at an event honoring Clive Davis, where he won an award for Music Visionary of the Year. Jennifer is definitely not showing signs of disappearing after her big Oscar win. She's already made tons of appearances and performances at a variety of different events, and her next movie Winged Creatures is due out next year.
