Grindhouse may have flopped in the states
but they're loving it at Cannes (at least Quentin's half of the film, Death Proof which premiered at the festival this week without its Planet Terror counterpart). Quentin is a favorite among journalists at Cannes after winning the Palme d'Or in 1994 for Pulp Fiction and they are calling the film, "amazing." Weinstein has
said that he is going to market Death Proof and Planet Terror separately internationally, hoping they will be more successful on their own.
