10 Movies I'm Excited to See in 2010
We're just beginning 2010, but I'm already making up my list of must-see movies for the new year. There's so much to look forward to! I'm keeping my eye on a couple of big budget action flicks, a few A-list romances — and mentally preparing myself for the edge-of-the-seat thrillers that are sure to give me the creeps (thanks a lot, Leo).
Julia and Javier Still Spreading the Eating, Praying, and Love
Julia Roberts flashed her signature smile yesterday while working on Eat, Pray, Love in Bali. She had good reason to look so happy, since her handsome costar Javier Bardem was also on the set. The duo suited up in hiking gear for an afternoon on a mountain, which seems like quite a contrast to their recent day of floating in the sea.
Answering Prayers, Shirtless Javier Looks Lovely and Tasty
Nothing like a little Monday morning manjoyment — Javier Bardem took a dip in the Indian Ocean without a shirt yesterday! He joined a bikini-clad Julia Roberts to film scenes for Eat, Pray, Love in Bali. Javier kept things a little more covered on Saturday, though, when he was fully dressed to work without Julia.

Julia Roberts got some company from her hot costar Javier Bardem this morning on the Indonesian set of Eat, Pray, Love. She's really lucked out in the casting department as far as this movie is concerned, after also filming alongside James Franco in August. Javier is back to work after a few months of vacation with Penelope Cruz, but that's not stopping speculation about developments in their relationship.
Julia Eats and Waits For Her On-Screen Love
Julia Roberts and the crew of Eat, Pray, Love packed up their gear and headed to Rome, where they got to work earlier today. She previously filmed in NYC alongside James Franco, though Julia will be trading one hot actor for another. Javier Bardem is expected on set soon, and perhaps he'll even bring his own leading lady Penelope Cruz along for the trip.
Julia Eats, Loves and Prepares For Prayer
Julia Roberts had her travel mug in hand while walking around on the NYC set of Eat, Pray, Love yesterday. She recently worked opposite James Franco, though this time she was joined on set by her Oscar-nominated costar Viola Davis. Her character in the film takes off from New York to spend time abroad including months in an Indian ashram, but apparently some Hindu leaders are already expressing concern over how Hollywood will depict their culture.
James and Julia Take a Walk to Remember
Julia Roberts was a lucky lady yesterday as she took a walk through NYC's Tompkins Square Park arm in arm with James Franco. He also serenaded her with a ukelele as they shot Eat, Pray, Love, which they also filmed together Monday. James is making the most of his time off from school working on a variety of projects — he was also scheduled to spend part of his Summer filming his latest stoner flick, Your Highness, in Europe with Natalie Portman.
James Has Julia to Share the Eating, Praying, and Loving
James Franco sat on a NYC stoop yesterday afternoon to film Eat, Pray, Love. He was joined on set by his costar Julia Roberts, who was back to work after spending the weekend with her adorable family. James also shot Howl in the city earlier this year, but his current project looked much more relaxed as he fielded calls on his BlackBerry and sipped coffee between takes.
What Book-to-Movie Changes Have Bugged You?
In adapting a book for the big screen, adjustments are obviously necessary and often understandable — except when they're quite frustrating. Earlier this year the news came out that the My Sister's Keeper filmmakers were changing the end of the story for the film version, causing a bit of apprehension for fans of the Jodi Picoult novel. In my opinion, the change made sense for the film, but I also understand the loyalty people feel toward the source material.
