The Emmys: Iconic Missteps
Get pumped! Sunday is the broadcast of the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards. Of course, Pop, Fab, Buzz, and I will all be on hand live-blogging the red carpet event with our love it or hate it polls.
Beauty Byte: Napoleon Perdis to Sponsor the Emmy Awards
The Emmy Awards are less than a month away, and of course I'll be glued to the television to spot all of the A-listers' hair and makeup. I just found out that Napoleon Perdis is the official makeup sponsor of the awards. Already enormously popular in Australia, the color cosmetics line is gaining buzz Stateside.
Emmy Parties
To celebrate the big event, the stars partied all night. A total upset by Grey's Anatomy didn't stop its team from having fun. As usual, Heidi and Seal were adorable.
Popular Purple
The night was very colorful but the most popular shade was purple. Jaime Pressly wore Badgley Mischka, Leah Rimini and Evangeline Lilly wore Versace, Ellen Pompeo was in John Galliano for Christian Dior while Cheryl Hines wore the most embellished dress designed by Chakra. Lilly was my favorite.
The Ladies Arrive at the Emmys
The ladies were dressed to impress last night at the 58th Emmy Awards. There was a ton of variety from lace or beading to low cut necklines. Many of the ladies chose to put their hair back or up, probably since it was so damn hot they didn't want to sweat like crazy.
The Men Arrive at the Emmys
Oh Simon - put that hairy chest away. It is like he wanted to compete with all the ladies on how much cleavage he could share. Oh and the Ray Bans - are they really necessary?
The Emmy Highlights
Conan was back for a second time to host the Emmy Awards. The show was more exciting than in past years. Not one show won everything which is always nice.
Desperate Housewives Desperate Again
Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Garrett announced the 58th annual Primetime Emmy award nominations this morning and the big talk is all about how the Desperate Housewives and Lost were left out of the best series nominations. In fact, the only housewife to get a nom was Alfre Woodard. As for those who were Academy favorites this year, 24 got 12 noms, Grey's Anatomy got 11 and Will & Grace received 10.
