The stars of Couples Retreat descended on the red carpet in LA last night to promote the ensemble comedy. Kristen Bell and Malin Akerman showed off their legs in short and sweet dresses, but the ladies were minus one since Kristin Davis is back east working on SATC2. It wasn't all about the women, however, as Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn hammed it up for the cameras.

The Emmys are this Sunday in LA, but that's not stopping the nominees — and even those who aren't up for awards — from starting the celebrations. Entertainment Weekly linked up with the Women in Film organization to host a bash last night at the Sunset Marquis hotel with Audrina Patridge, AnnaLynne McCord, and former Twilighter Rachelle LeFevre turning out for the red carpet. Newly pregnant Jenna Elfman of Accidentally on Purpose struck a pose alongside Jennie Garth, whose husband Peter has been spending his time up in Vancouver working out with Kellan Lutz.

Michael Douglas was the man of the evening last night as he received an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in LA. He hit the red carpet on the arm of his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, while his Ghosts of Girlfriends Past costar Matthew McConaughey brought along Camila Alves. Kiefer Sutherland and Tobey Maguire took the stage to pay tribute to their pal Michael, and Catherine even brought out her Chicago skills for a song-and-dance number in her husband's honor.

Totally tubular scarves are a snazzy way to keep your neck warm. Peep this: When I take the train to work, I'm bogged down with layers of coats, gloves, hats, etc. The last thing I need to worry about is if my scarf ends are hitting the ground, or even worse, a smelly commuter.

It seemed like black was the color to wear at the D&G store opening on Robertson Blvd. Actress Erika Christensen was no exception in a strapless silhouette with just a gray wrap scarf as her pop of color. Shop her exact dress from D&G and similar accessories now.

Nicole Richie has been out on the town lately with Joel on her arm, but last night she had a fun night of fashion on her own. She joined actresses Erika Christensen and Cameron Richardson for an Alexander Wang trunk show at the boutique Satine, along with the model Erin Wasson, who is a good friend and stylist to Alexander. Clothes aren't the only thing on aspiring designer Nicole's mind, because she's rumored to be in talks to create a new reality show that searches for a girl who can achieve instant fame by appearing on TV — basically the next Nicole Richie.
