Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey made the most of their trip to London by hitting the nightlife after their Fool's Gold premiere yesterday. Kate traded her flashy green number for a sexy little black dress, while MM stuck to his dapper suit. It must be hard for Matthew to be so far away from his baby mama, but he's already assuring us that the trio will be quite the globe-trotting family, saying, "We're going to probably travel, go on a few adventures together.

Kate Hudson attended the London premiere of Fools' Gold in Leicester Square last night wearing an off the shoulder embellished turquoise silk dress by John Galliano. She wore her hair up and kept accessories minimal. The green colour looks great against her fair skin tone.

The lion's share of box office dollars went to director Roland Emmerich's 10,000 B.C. which earned an estimated $35 million. This same weekend last year saw the outrageous success of 300, but while 10,000 B.C.'s opening comes nowhere near the debut weekend of that blockbuster, it still fulfilled studio expectations, Variety reports.

Despite earning the top spot at the box office, the predictable laughs in Will Ferrell's Semi-Pro only earned $15.3 million over the weekend. This is considered a disappointing sum, especially compared to opening weekends of other Ferrell films like Talladega Nights and Blades of Glory. Variety reports that this underwhelming performance by the basketball comedy may have been due to mediocre reviews and an R-rating.

Despite mediocre reviews (including my own) audiences were still game for director Doug Liman's sci-fi movie Jumper which earned the top spot at the box office its first weekend out. Whether it was the combined star power of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen or the craving for an action flick this Presidents Day weekend, audiences put Jumper ahead of the rest by a long shot, grossing nearly $33.8 million, according to Variety.
The other big surprise over the weekend was the No.

The chemistry between Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey proved lucrative once again as their comedy, Fool's Gold, won the top spot at the box office over the weekend, earning $22 million. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, starring Martin Lawrence and Cedric the Entertainer, came in No. 2 grossing $17 million, followed by Disney's super tween 3-D concert experience Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour in the third spot.

- Fingers crossed people! — this strike looks like it could be resolved any minute now. This week I talked to a member of the Writers Guild of America to learn about life on strike while other striking writers hilariously penned some endings to a few of my favorite shows, like Gossip Girl (cartooned above).
- The Super Bowl came and went and so did all the hype around the commercials.

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are spreading the interview love in NYC this week — together on TRL yesterday and Kate stopping by The Today Show this morning. On Monday, MM taped Letterman, and last night we got to see his interview (even Matt slipped up on the Monday taping/Tuesday airing thing at one point). Of course, he talked baby, baby, baby and walking around with no shirt.

If you think that Kate Hudson's coat on her way into Letterman yesterday afternoon lives up to the title of her new movie Fool's Gold, you gotta check out the hot little number she wore for her interview. Gold standard. On the show she talked a little about her movie and even more about her first trip to the Super Bowl last weekend as a guest of Patriots' owner Bob Kraft.

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey got into their glad rags for the London premiere of Fool's Gold in Leicester Square yesterday. The movie hit the number one spot at the US box office two months ago and I loved Kate and Matthew in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but after reading Molly's review I'm not getting my hopes up too high for this one, which is released on 18th April. I think Kate looks great in this ocean-inspired dress (Thursdays must be mermaid fashion day), even if she had a slight wardrobe malfunction on the blue carpet.
