Jul 10 2006 - 10:45am Baby Kingston is sure to be one stylish little man. Mommy Gwen is sporting a Gucci Baby Bjorn which will be the envy of many moms. I think it's a little much and certainly clashes with her heart pattern dress.
Babies as fashion accessories. Great. It's going to be interesting to see how the children of this crop of 'the celebrity baby boom' turns out. Insufferable, I'd imagine.
I think is good that she is out and about with her kid always, she is acting like a regular mom not like everybody else who hide the children from the people, I think paps are going to
respect you more is you don't act all b*tchy with them, Of course is ok to take care of the kids, and protected them but you know they are going to grow up, and we have to try to not raise
kids with traumas!!
She looks great! Nice to see her with a normal hair do. Got to agree that the BBjorn is a slight bit much. Oh well...I guess if you can afford it, you're going to buy it.
colormesticky i didnt even think of that, but that is super smart for a celeb i would imagine. but yes the pattern is horrendous for her outfit and plain would go so much better! i know its a
gucci but its pattern reminds me of the cheap purses from kohls! yuck.
I'm pretty sure Gwen doesn't view her baby as a 'fashion accessory.' She's only been pining for one since waaaay before it was cool. Yes, the Gucci baby bjorn is a little much, but whatever.
She probably got it for free anyway. Or maybe it was a gift from a friend and she wants to be photographed in it to make that person feel good?
Good point, pinkylover...what if a friend gave it to her y'all, then she CAN'T go buy another one without looking like a total b*tch. Come on we all have that godawful sweater gift
somewhere...
Whatever, she could be tooling around in a tin foil baby bjorn and y'all know I'd be on here defending my girl Gwen!
That's the ugliest carrier I ever did see, so NOT baby material. It's evidence of a rich stay-at-home mom, or muscian in this case. I wonder if it's uncomfortable leather which HEATS up in
the HEAT or it's soft suble cloth ???? In any event, it's hideious !! And so is that Ace of Spades dress she has on. Don't get me wrong, I love her and think she is a great styl'n dresser,
but not on this day.
It looks like something someone who is "ghetto fabulous" would wear. Guuci should not make baseball caps, tennis shoes, seat covers for your Escalade, and especially not baby Bjorn!!!
If a friend bought that for my shower and she was a real friend she would not get offended when I returned it, I'd simply say, "As a new mom I don't feel comfortable with a leather carrier"
OR say, "I already received one and would rather return it for the Gucci Diaper bag". A "Real" friend would not get offended ...
I doubt its leather, ImCurly. That would be NUTS! Babies get so warm in those things anyhow.
A real friend wouldn't get offended, no. But their feelings might be hurt. I know I put the lamest clothes on my son because people got them for him. LOL
Everyone is different ... I've had my friends for over 20 years so we are all comfortable enought to know one another. When I buy gifts, I always include the gift receipt and I say, "If you
don't like this I want you return it". And actually, I always ask what they want beforehand so rarely do I buy something that they didn't ask for. But My friends know I'm very honest and
upfront and I expect the same from them. I wouldn't put my child into something I did not like, but that's just me. If they are hurt by it, they'll get over it just as I would. And you are
right about the leather, let's hope it's "Not" leather, but it looks stiff to me ... In any event, we all agree it's ugly ... I like Gwen and she usually dresses so well, we'll let her slide
on this one carrier issue ... hahahahahahaha !
It's so funny how people don't think they are important enough as an individual and will only be liked if they buy things that us humans think are "oh , just FABULOUS".....trust me, that baby
could care less how much that ugly carrier costs*
Pinkylover I am with you! It doesn't really matter, because I'm sure it was actually a gift sent from "Gucci" ... Not a friend, family or anyone she knows, the actually company in luring her
in for more media advertising ... She'll use it once and donate it or sell it on Ebay like many other celebrities do ... And on Ebay, she'll get a lot more because her babies ass was in it.
Haaaaa !!!!!!!! Hey, it's the truth now !!
leather is for babies! hehehe little tiny motorcycle babies, im agreeing with you on that imcurly that it isnt for babies. its for cute little doggies to be carried in!
haha that is the truth, but it sure is stupid! I'm just not one to think that someone elses booty is to be worshiped...not saying ya'll are doing the 'oh hail poopy spot' but it cracks me up
how people put one human on a higher pedestal than another.....blah blah blah*
Yes, a cute little biker jacket when they are around 2years of age, leather shoes, etc ... I bet that carrier is lined with plush like a dog carrier ! Haaaaaa !! I'm telling you, LQQK on ebay
in about two weeks, I bet her marketing team puts it up on there for auction. Frank Sinatra's hair piece is on there right now, starting bid was $2,500.00 !!! I KID YOU NOT.
Ms Jennifer76, they are people just like me and you, only they are on TV, in movies and make a salary that is "Criminal" to all of us in society ... They lead stressful lives FULL of
whirlwind drama ... I think you could do no wrong before they could .... That is a compliment ...
hell ill take that hairpiece and give it to my favorite lollipop nicole richie so she can put it in her dog's hair. since she used to get her dog matching hair extensions. sorry i thought it
sounded kinda interesting!
LOL ... I'm not sure if you can wash those stinky things, but why on earth would anyone want it ?? YIK ! Especially at over $2,500.00 ... For that sort of money, I would go and buy a new
Louie Vuitton not a Frank Sinatra hairpiece that my dog would probably attack and rip to shreds !
And I like Gwen too. I'm not insulting her really, just her carrier ... haa ! But I understand your loyalty, I am like that with Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hanks, Drew Barrymore and Julia Roberts
... I love Julia so slow that roll and leave her and Danny alone !
LOL ImCurly...we all have our little indulgences. But, I don't know where you're coming from on the Sinatra toupee thing. I would be all OVER that... NOT!! (Jenna that was for you.) LOL
I'm surprised people buy such expensive crap for their spawn, especially since, at that age, babies basically know how to do only four things: sh*t, piss, barf, and drool.

That carrier is tacky.
1I second that. Gucci should not make baby Bjorn's. She should get one of the blain black or brown ones like everyone else.
2Yes, I agree Caligirl. What's next? A Gucci onesie for the little man???
3i think that carrier is super tacky. dude, it would clash with everything that she owns.
4aawww, where's Gavin?
5Not a fan of the bbjorn.
But Gwen looks upper happy!
6nice picture, she looks happy and healthy.
7They look beautiful but I'm not loving the carrier...something needs to be solid.
8Babies as fashion accessories. Great. It's going to be interesting to see how the children of this crop of 'the celebrity baby boom' turns out. Insufferable, I'd imagine.
9Awww so sweet. I bet the carrier was a gift. Makes it kind of hard not to use it.

11gwen looks great as usual but that carrier is so ugly.i'm not feeling it at all.
12She looks great! Nice to see her with a normal hair do. Got to agree that the BBjorn is a slight bit much. Oh well...I guess if you can afford it, you're going to buy it.
13It's a great way to hide the baby's face, I'll give her that.
14I see she got her black roots taken care of. It was probably a gift, she doesn't seem the type to buy such a "ohhh, look how rich I am" baby bjorn.
15colormesticky i didnt even think of that, but that is super smart for a celeb i would imagine. but yes the pattern is horrendous for her outfit and plain would go so much better! i know its a gucci but its pattern reminds me of the cheap purses from kohls! yuck.
16I thought of that too, it was given to her, maybe by the company. If so, I guess she should donate it to charity asap! lol

18The baby bjorn saved my life when I had my daughter. I could snuggle her on me and take her anywhere and she was as happy as a clam.
19Good point, pinkylover...what if a friend gave it to her y'all, then she CAN'T go buy another one without looking like a total b*tch. Come on we all have that godawful sweater gift somewhere...

21BTW, she obviously doesn't view him as a fashion accessory or she'd prolly be coordinating his gear with her clothes a little better...no?

24And yes, you are right, it looks "GHETTO FABULOUS" out of China Town !! It's butt monkey ugly !! Even the celebrities can make fashion mistakes ...
25LEATHER IS NOT FOR BABIES ....

27They are cute people, but what they are usually wearing isn't. That whole picture is a disaster, but she's probabaly really tired and doesn't care.

29Eh, who cares...she's with her little man and looks happy. What type of Baby Bjorn she is carrying makes no difference to me...

31And I'm pretty sure Gwen doesn't care how much it cost because I'm positive she didn't actually have to pay for it.

36Shoot..watch, we'll find out that it *is* leather and you know I'll be turning around and arguing about why that's ok for babies. LOL
Gwen can do no wrong in my eyes.
Yes, I realize that its a sickness.
37Yes, a cute little biker jacket when they are around 2years of age, leather shoes, etc ... I bet that carrier is lined with plush like a dog carrier ! Haaaaaa !! 38OMG ImCurly...that's nasty. Can you wash hair pieces? I sure hope somebody did.

48Staring at my collection of L.A.M.B bags, I would also like to add that Gwen can do NO wrong in my eyes. I've loved her forever. I was a Gwennabe.
49And Toronado they cry...alot.
