Nov 2 2009 - 4:30pm I've been waiting on a trailer for
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for what feels like forever (more specifically, ever since those
first photos of Jake all buff and shirtless).
The preview starts off strong, immediately taking us on an adventure quest that doesn't make any attempt to hide its video game origins. The effects are amazing, though I couldn't help snickering the first time Gyllenhaal speaks in a British accent.

Wow. I'm definitely going to see this. I love me some Jakey Gyllenhaal.
1Ahahahahaha! I don't know why, but this strikes me as ridiculously hilarious.
2mm yummy
3So video game franchise becomes "Princess Bride meets Transformers?"
4For some reason this looks kind of hokey to me
5It's so blatantly obvious that they are trying to turn this into the next "Pirates of the Caribbean"-esque juggernaut. It just doesn't really appeal to me & Jake looks ridiculous with long hair. I'll probably watch it eventually though.
I had no idea that he was speaking with an English accent, I knew it was an accent but it seemed extremely vague.
6Gosh, this looks awful. What in heavens is Jake Gyllenhaal doing in this??
7i've been waiting for this movie for so long. it seems like it took them FOREVER to film it, and yet we still have to wait another 6-7 months for it? oh well. hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
8ehhh...we'll see....
9I think it looks fantastic, if you like an adventure film with lots of action and fantasy. I'll be seeing this on the big screen!
10Ohh I remember "trying" to play the Prince of Persia game...
11Looks good...except...why English accents? It seems like all "historical" or "fantasy" based films are always in English accents...it's the Prince of PERSIA for pete's sake.
12I'm from england, his accent is fine, not everyone speaks like hugh grant u know...
13Now everyone's a film critic based on a trailer for a movie based on a video game?! C'mon. Movies are made for an escape on some levels; to "suspend your disbelief." Who knows? Keep your head out long enough and you might enjoy it...
14I may check this one out.
