From grown ups enjoying evening fun like Alexa and Agyness at the Heroes vs. Villains bash and Kelly and Luke at Heidi and Seal's party, to families trick-or-treating like the Stefani-Rossdales and Christina, it was a fancy dress fest.

The GQ Men of the Year awards were held in London last night and it was the star studded event you'd expect with guests like Mickey Rourke, Kate Moss, Yoko Ono, Take That, Lily Allen, Will Young, James Corden, Alan Carr, Gemma Arterton and many more! Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason won Band of the Year, and afterwards Yoko complimented the boys, saying, "I love 'Shine'. I know most of their greatest hits.

Kate Moss and Lily Allen had each other for support at last night's GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. The good friends posed for the cameras, though Kate also had Jamie Hince as her date for the evening following a busy few days together. Guy Ritchie and Eva Mendes chatted at their side-by-side seats, while Freida Pinto was without her boyfriend Dev Patel after spending their weekend side-by-side.

Jason Statham took a break from filming The Expendables to enjoy the sun in Rio de Janeiro yesterday. He'll also be filming in Brazil for the follow up to The Italian Job, The Brazilian Job, alongside Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg and Seth Green, so we might need to get used to seeing the action man shirtless in South America. Jason hits our cinema screens again when Crank: High Voltage is released this week, and I want to know if these shots make you weak at the knees, so tell me: is shirtless Jason Statham sexy sexy, or just so so?

London's Royal Festival Hall was the celeb-filled venue for the second annual National Movie Awards last night. A handful of Hollywood stars joined Brit actors like Emma Watson, Jason Statham and Eddie Izzard for the event, including Samuel L Jackson, Olivia Thirlby (I love her simple black dress), Chris Noth and Maria Bello.
Female Performance winner Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman and Kylie Minogue also attended, although they bypassed the red carpet and sneakily snuck in the back door — you can see them (as well as those who filmed acceptance speeches like Harrison Ford and Johnny Depp) when the ceremony airs on ITV tonight.

Hard man Jason Statham attended the Australian premiere of his film The Bank Job in Sydney yesterday. He didn't have his costar Saffron Burrows by his side this time, but he looked pretty happy to pose in front of that Union Jack on his own. Flying solo gave him the chance to rubbish those rumours about him and George Clooney's ex Sarah Larson: "I was in Vegas with my friend and manager Steve Chasman last week and we were all at a big table.

Heist movies are formulaic by definition, but when filmmakers follow the formula well, it makes for a highly satisfying flick. As proof, I present The Bank Job, which is the kind of movie you go see just because you're in the mood for a movie but walk away from highly entertained. It's not star-studded, nor a showcase for fine acting, but it possesses the two essential elements of a good heist movie: a well-written script and smart directing.
