After the ladies and men showed off their red carpet styles, they headed into the Nokia Theater for the American Music Awards last night. The show started off with an exciting medley from Christina followed by a performance from the New Kids on the Block that you guys are split on. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and the Jonas Brothers represented the industry's young blood while Coldplay, Kanye, Mariah and Alicia Keys with Queen Latifah were also crowd pleasers.

Amy Winehouse won one of the three awards she was nominated for at last night's prestigious Ivor Novello Awards. She won Best Song Musically & Lyrically for "Love Is A Losing Game". Bless her, she didn't quite make it there in time to pick up her award (still pinning the 'Blake' brooch to her beehive perhaps?) so Dad Mitch was on hand to accept the award for her.

Before the big night, some of the honored TV stars came out for EW's big annual Emmy party. Obviously Kate Walsh was looooving herself as fall tv preview issue cover girl as she posed with the magazine on the red carpet, ugh. Heidi and Vanessa certainly were belles of the ball, while Eva went with a pretty standard gold look.
