Christina Picks Pumpkins After Spilling About Sexuality

Christina Aguilera spent the weekend getting ready for Halloween by following other celebrities' lead and picking pumpkins in West Hollywood with hubby Jordan Bratman and their son Max. She's also Cosmopolitan UK's November cover star, and revealed her preference for female bodies in her frank interview with the magazine. Here are the highlights:

On women's bodies: "I’ve always had fun playing up to my sexual side. I think women are such sensual beings. And, I mean, I’m attracted to men ultimately – I’m married and I love my husband and I love what we do together, but honestly? If I had a choice between viewing a naked man or a naked woman, I’d choose the woman. We’re just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at."
On sexuality: "I just appreciate sexuality … in the past people have had to be ashamed of their sexuality. So I love to embrace it – there’s such a sense of freedom in it."
On being nude: "I feel sexiest in the nude … [My husband] has a way of making me feel sexy … When you see something you dislike and your partner looks at you and embraces it. It makes you feel good. You know, the scars of life are beautiful."

On keeping the romance alive with Jordan: "It’s important to make time for yourselves. I don’t like schedules – I don’t think sex should be scheduled. We all have our little turn-ons and the things that make our romance spicy, so you just have to tap into what that is for you, and keep experimenting."
On changing her image: "It’s like tapping into different sides of yourself and your past, and getting to feel good about it. I still get that sense of, ‘Wow, I did that, I was that girl.’ I love looking back and seeing so many different sides of myself and knowing that I experimented … there was a reason I did it and I consciously felt good going into it … I get bored when things are too safe, or too played by the rules."
On being a mother: "It’s important for me to be the first person [Max] sees when he wakes up and the last thing he sees when he goes to bed … there are a few songs that have been inspired by him. But as far as it affecting me creatively – like, I shouldn’t be wearing that because I’m a mum – no. Because that wouldn’t be fair to me. It’s important to keep a strong sense of yourself when you’re a mum. You’re still you, and you can still be confident in your sexuality. I’d never give up my musical or artistic side just to be a mother. There’s got to be a balance and I want to set that example – as the kind of woman I want my son to respect."
On her abusive father: "I used to be very motivated and driven to succeed by the negative in my past, by remembering the abuse and not wanting to repeat that for myself. But in embracing my new family and my home life, I’m completely inspired by the positive. I truly have been able to let go and know that that was my past and that was the card I was dealt."

January, Anne, and Olivia Celebrate Their Power With Lunch

Olivia Wilde struck a pose this afternoon at the Power of Women luncheon in LA, while elsewhere the news broke that her costar Jennifer Morrison will be leaving their series House. Olivia was joined by a fresh-off-the-Emmys-red-carpet January Jones, along with Anne Hathaway and AnnaLynne McCord. Christina Aguilera was also in attendance, as her husband Jordan Bratman dared to be one of the few guys in the room. The event was designed to honor eight ladies - Christina Aguilera, Christina Applegate, Maria Bello, Anne Hathaway, January Jones, Sigourney Weaver, film executive Sherry Lansing, and producer Laura Ziskin - who all maintain their commitment to charitable causes despite their hectic Hollywood careers.

The Holiday Season Is Extra Long For Christina and Max

Christina Aguilera took her signature red lips and her boys out in LA last night. Max is still the spitting image of Jordan, but his facial expression matched his mom's as they returned to their car. All three members of the Aguilera-Bratman crew wore hats, but not the festive ones we've seen on some other celebs. Max has gotten so big, and after the holidays there's still lots more for this little guy to celebrate - like his first birthday on Jan. 12.

Christina's Not Ready For Holiday Hibernation Just Yet

Christina Aguilera had a busy weekend with her two favorite boys, taking a bundled up Max out for a coffee run and doing some shopping with Jordan. Hanukkah started last night and Christmas is coming right up, so if the pop star still has things to pick up we've got plenty of gift ideas that would be perfect even at the last minute. A December birthday means double the presents for Christina, but we have a feeling that this year it will be Max getting spoiled for his very first taste of the season.

Christina's Birthday Is Just Like Clockwork

Dec. 18 isn't only Katie Holmes and Brad Pitt's birthdays; Christina Aguilera celebrated turning 28 in style at Osteria Mozza in LA last night with her husband and friends. She and Jordan go all out for Halloween each year, so it's no surprise that she chose a Clockwork Orange-themed costume bash. Nicole and Joel came out for the event, and it looks like Joel was even able to recycle an old outfit, while Nicole went for a more literal interpretation in orange. Never one to miss a party, Paris Hilton also helped the pop star turn 28. After a big year that included bringing Max into the world, it looks like Christina still knows how to kick back and celebrate herself.

Max's first Hanukkah is around the corner and birthday just a few weeks after that, so it sounds like there's a lot of gifts coming his way. Sounds like she's got her hands full, but she and Jordan are still doing their best to sell their home, and have even lowered their asking price to get the process going.

Christina Aguilera looked a little bit more natural (maybe?) on her way out of Fred Segal with Jordan last night. The new parents left without any bags, but held each other's hand instead. Christina's got a busy few weeks ahead, including an appearance on this Sunday's final TRL, as well as a performance at next weekend's American Music Awards. Christina also recently talked about her new look, saying, "I was very inspired by the look and feel of that [pop-art] genre, your Jane Birkins, your Blondies, females who have come before who have done this so many times and so well - almost as an homage to them. Also, speaking of Warhol, Nico from the Velvet Underground . . . so it all kind of ties in to a pop-art feel and twist, with a mod look. But a futuristic taste of what's to come." She also laughed off the frequent comparison to Lady Gaga because, clearly, she has loftier ideals of who she's emulating these days.

Christina stuck with pastels to run errands with Jordan, which is a much less dramatic look than when she joined the other celebrity voters. Although you guys are split on whether celebrities played a key role in Obama's win, Christina's Rock the Vote ad was a piece of what helped make this election season so memorable.
