Sex and the City Premiere Glitters in Gold in NYC

Things may have kicked off in the UK, but the SATC girls finally came home to premiere the film at Radio City Music Hall last night. Love 'em or not, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall glittered in their metallic dresses on a pink carpet that was covered with more than 10,000 Swarovski crystals. SJP looked amazing in a very familiar dress (hello, LL in Bazaar superhero photo shoot). Chris Noth and more costars came out, as well as some of NYCs most stylish trendsetters like Ashley Olsen and Anna Wintour (looking perfect as usual). New theme song artist Fergie got girlie, while Jason Lewis acted goofy sticking his tongue out for the cameras. Fans are so excited for the film that they paid big bucks to attempt to attend the premiere last night. Seriously, big bucks. Clearly this weekend belongs to the girls in the city, so move over Indy!

Vanessa Loves Her Reeboks and Personal Cheerleader

Vanessa Minnillo joined the ladies of Gossip Girl in NYC last night to celebrate the launch of Reebok's Freestyle World Tour campaign. Leighton and Blake looked adorable in their respective strapless dress and cardigan. As usual, Vanessa came ready to gush about her man and her new movie gig. She said, "He's very supportive and very calming. He's one of my biggest cheerleaders. [But] he's not helping me [run lines]. I can't. It's too embarrassing to try it with him. It's too nerve wracking. I start to giggle with him and I can't take him seriously. It's just one big mess!"

Oscar Swag: Not Just For Movie Stars

Oscars week is a good time for everyone in Hollywood, not just those involved with nominated movies. In fact, you don't even have to be remotely involved with film (I would be talking to you, Lil' Kim, but I know you were in Juwanna Man) to score some free stuff at the swag events. Mischa was in the house and apparently anti clubbing baby seals this weekend as was Hayden who was certainly ready for the ring (though I think she should be careful, cause Lil' Kim did spend some time in the clink). Hey, these ladies may not be going to the big event, but they certainly know how to take advantage of a good free stuff opportunity. More power to 'em.

CW Announces Series Renewals and New Shows

Ashton, Kristen and Haylie all came out to support their fledgling network at the CW Winter TCA press tour last week. The network just announced their series renewals and midseason scheduling plans. Veronica Mars will be experimenting with five non-serialized episodes at the end of the season. The CW will also begin streaming episodes of some of its shows including Mars and Ashton's Beauty and the Geek on cwtv.com. Meanwhile, no news doesn't necessarily mean good news for Haylie and 7th Heaven, while CW president Dawn Ostroff failed to specify which shows were being cancelled, it's most likely 7th Heaven will be one of them. But we're sure Haylie will have no problem finding a new home on another show.

The hardest ticket in town for fashion week is always Marc Jacobs. The designer packed thousands in for his show which was surprisingly left off of the Olympus Fashion Week schedule by mistake. Kimora's Fashion Week Family

From family to funky, Kimora Lee struts her stuff at her Baby Phat show during fashion week then parties it up with Lil' Kim. As much I I don't see anything fabulosity about her, those kids sure are cute. They must be some serious daddy's girls. Russell and Kimora are supposedly split but it looks like the two are keeping it civil for the sake of their businesses. However, Russell may be in trouble soon. The 2006 VMA Awards

Besides some good performances like JT and B, the rest of the evening was pretty tame. No major shocking events unless you consider Axl Rose blessing us with his presence as newsworthy (we don't). Jack Black was great, and the Tenacious D bits were a bonus. We got a kick out of Pink winning for her Stupid Girl video and mocking her tabloid girls right in front of one of them. Lil' Kim making fun of herself was a good laugh. She sure seems excited to be back on the stage and good for her for actually wearing clothes. We hate those half naked outfits she likes to wear at events. As for the Pussycat Dolls, did they really win? They are the cheapest imitation of the Spice Girls. They do not deserve to be taking home any moon mans. Bad MTV, shame on you.

Oh, and dare we say that Fergie actually looked cute dancing it up with Little Miss Sunshine. I know, we never thought we would write a sentence with "Fergie" and "cute" in it - ever.

Lil' Kim To Be Released By Independence Day

Lil' Kim is getting out of jail early. She was sentenced to a year and a day for committing perjury but will be set free on Monday after a short 10 months. Lil' Kim will be released just in time to celebrate Independence Day. How appropriate.

"I am thrilled to be coming home.... I thank all my fans for all their letters, as well as my family and friends for all their support throughout the past 10 months."

Thistle is a pinky-purple hue that packs a lot of punch even though it's considered a pastel. It was always a favourite crayon colour of mine until it was retired in 2000, but just because Crayola dissed it doesn't mean that it's unpopular in the makeup world.
